this guitar sounds awesome and it’s beautiful but the Ziricote wood made it sound a bit deeper than what I was looking for in a flamenco guitar. also, I don’t know if it’s the seller or UPS but it came in the little cordoba flimsy triangle box with no padding whatsoever. they didn’t provide a sturdy shipping box but I had one from a cordoba that was shipped through Fedex and sent it back in that one.

Overall construction and fit is good for the price point. The finish has some overspray flaws, particularly along the “body to neck” heel joint on both sides. The tuners are suprizingly tight, and the Salveraz strings have clear rich bass tones. Bridge saddle appears to be too tall and may need removal/ replacement after a height reduction to alleviate barely playable 12th fret action(~4mm+ on bass side) The neck has a slight “raked upwards” relief warp between nut and 5th fret contributing to the high action at the 12th fret problem with barely any relief at the lower end of the neck. A series of Truss Rod adjustments may reduce warp relief to lower spec limits?
I haven’t seen this issue in retail outlets where I’ve played several GKs before buying this one online.
The Tuner and Electronics are functional, and there is also a “mic blend” function, was surprized that this Fishman system has an internal mic and an under saddle transducer? However, the tone with high hand noises, is moderate at best, playing thru a Marshall 50 WATT acoustic amplifier. I’ve been unsuccessful thus far, in attaining a pleasing EQ tonal balance. ( Recognizing the price point of this instrument) The Fret ends aren’t sharp, but could be a little smoother.
If neck is unable to be straightened to reduce relief over the next few days with small incremental truss rod adjustments, I may have to return this guitar. I plan to update this review in a week or so. I do recognize some Classical players like higher action vs. Flamingo players. While mostly an Acoustic and Electric player for ~ 50 years, I have owned more expensive Classical guitars in the past and did not like the wider nut width for playing slash cords with thumb over chords. This thinner / narrower nut width(50mm) is better suited for my preferences.

Third times a charm. Ordered new twice from Guitar Center. Both had build and quality issues, enough so to return.
This one has none of those issues. Gorgeous design, fit and finish. Rich, ethereal, powerful and dimensional sound. The action toward the saddle needs to be lowered a bit. Worth the setup effort.

Beautiful tone. Deep bass tone. Drop tunes all the way to C perfectly without buzzing. Setup just about perfect out of the box. Great pickup which accurately recreates tone. Truss rod so the neck doesn’t warp over time. Light. Only drawback is no neck heel strap button, making the guitar less practical. To install one would be fairly difficult due to the heel’s narrow width. Overall, worth every penny. No wonder Cordoba recommends MSRP $2,360.00.

Just got this from Amazon. Have been playing it all day. So much easier to play than my other classical guitar. Narrower and thinner neck, lower action, smaller body. This changes everything. Love the bass sound, the fit and finish of this beautiful instrument. And they even included the 9V battery to run the Fishman pick-up/tuner. Move over Carlos Montoya…..another flamenco player is born! 😉

This guitar has a great sound and is light. The packaging however is so poor-and my guitar came with a dime-sized puncture to the back (see pictures). Box was paper thin and it came wrapped in one thin piece of foam. Box was banged up pretty badly.

OK, I have literally been playing bfor an hour since this beautiful instrument showed up on my doorstep. It is absolutely, 100% beautiful right out of the box! It is usually my experience that a mid-range instrument usually needs a thorough going over by a luthier before you can actually get a decent sound and good playability out of it. But, not this guitar. It is terrific right from the unboxing. I actually can’t wait to get it setup properly. I can already tell it will play like a dream. This instrument is definitely punching above its weight!
