ย Me gustรณ mucho, llegรณ rรกpido a mi paรญs pero Dhl es muy lento, pero hoy llego y estoy fascinado,lo recomiendo totalmente.
ANDREA –
All those classic DX7 sounds from the 80’s that were on everything but went out of fashion have come round again to be actually very nice and usable.
I have other synths but certain sounds from the FM2 are so clean and crystal sounding, I put them thru an nts-1 with Sinevibes Hollow reverb ๐
I love that the FM2 is 6 voice poly, lots of sounds are to be found on the web and are easily transferred to this with the free Dexed app.

It’s not only a great little instrument but also a great way of learning how electronically made sounds can be used in musical compositions.

I’ve only scratched the surface with this thing, but I’m already satisfied that it does what I was looking for it to do. As a digital synth it’s somewhat limited. There are a number of library tones and algorithms to choose as a base, there are two bars to adjust the octave and velocity, you can adjust the attack/decay for the modulator and carrier, and there’s an LFO. That sounds like a lot but the range does end up being somewhat limited. This unit has 6 note polyphony, meaning it will play 6 individual tones at a time. That’s a nice step up from the previous model which only allowed for 3. The arpeggiator disappointed me a bit as it only seems to play three note patterns, though I may have missed something. There are a number of different arpeggio patterns and speeds and you can switch through them very quickly.
Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase. It’s not the most expansive unit, but the price is hard to beat and I love the retro sound of it. My only gripe is that these Volca units are not readily compatible with a lot of other things. For this unit I needed to buy a midi adapter to use it with my controller, as well as a polarity converter and adapter for my power supply.

I own the original FM, along with Drum, NuBass, and Keys. The FM2 is EXCELLENT. The best of the bunch. The inclusion of a decent onboard reverb, additional patches and the MIDI out are all greatly welcome. It would be great to change programs via MIDI CC, but that’s not going to stop you from being creative with this kit. Am seriously looking at getting another one of these, even at the $200 price point.
Is this a tiny OpSix? No. The form factor and price points drive us to Volcas and this is the quite an addition to the line.

KORG sent me a used unit with the batteries installed and the internal speaker inoperative. The presets were already screwed up due to the previous user who returned the unit. I reset it to factory settings and the internal speaker still didn’t work. Bad experience all around.

Literally a dx7 in a portable box amazing sounds. And 6 voice polyphony is exceptional for this price range.

I was aware about the type of sounds this synth can generate but I was blown away when I tried it for the first time, easy to dive in with the functionality in general, FM synthesis is very interesting for all sounds from the 70s go on. I just love it.
G Bell –
The Korg Volca FM 2 sounds better than some synths costing much more. I plan on keeping this!
