I couldn’t believe it made in Japan. I thought made in China before I received it. It took less than 1 week to arrive. It’s cheap in price and brand new.

I bought a new trumpet 1 & 1/2 years ago for my younger son and it has a valve problem. I called Yamaha to see if I can get mfr warranty. The Yamaha agent told me that it has 4-5 years of mfr warranty but I couldn’t get the mfr warranty because I bought it from unauthorized dealer. I was frustrated because I bought it from amazon.com not unauthorized dealer. He said not every dealer under amazon.com is an authorized dealer. I wouldn’t buy it if I got a warning at the first time about no mfr warranty situation. Young children who usually use this level of instruments wouldn’t be careful to handle the instrument. Who will buy the instrument without the warranty? I called amazon.com to say about the system problem. The agent said “dispose it or donate it”. I really was upset and I talked to her supervisor. Anyway, I wouldn’t buy any instruments or high cost product from amazon.com any more.

WOW! Great deal! This came from Japan and is probably intended solely for the Japanese domestic market sale where ‘made in China’ is just not going to work for their customers. I’m not saying there is any quality difference because there probably isn’t, which is why they don’t mind selling Yamaha instruments to the USA which are ‘made in China’ , they still do the same manufacturing QC and supplier oversight but the US customer just doesn’t have the same quality expectations as a Japanese consumer might have. Yamaha USA photos clearly show the made in China visible.
I don’t know their supply chain but the one I received is marked on the outer box as YTR-2330 //J and is stamped as a made in Japan unit. Again, likely no difference in quality or sound at all but it was a nice surprise.
Fast shipping from the seller and everything is exactly as described.
Purchased for my son and he’s already loving it. I think it’ll last him quite a long time and I’m very happy with the purchase!

Awsome trumpet came in a box packed in bubble wrap . Trumpet was in a nice hard case with valve oil and a cleaning cloth. The shipping was extremely fast received it in less than a week.
