These have a similar feel to a regular uncoated string. They sound fantastic and felt great the first 24 hours. After about 48 hours they started feeling gunky and crud was building up already. Was fun to try them out but I’ll stick with elixers.
Rick DeFazio –
I started using these strings over a year ago. Never looked for a different set again. They stay bright longer. they’re comfortable, stay in tune and don’t need to be changed as often

Awesome electric guitar strings

I’m going on almost a week of daily playing and these strings still feel brand new!! For all my acidic sweaters out there, you know how huge this is.
You can definitely feel the coating but it’s not unpleasant and I actually kind of like the slickness. On top of that they’re only $15, good value in my opinion but we’ll see how long they last.
If your strings rust after literally one session (welcome to the club 😢) try these up won’t regret it!

Alright so first things first, are they expensive? Yes absolutely, you could g t much cheaper strings but let me tell you why I would argue these are way better value for the money. Their sound quality maintains no matter how long they’ve been on it seems. They almost never get dirty and I’ve never ever had one of these break. Typically I was always an elixir guy but these have made me a die hard fan. 5/5 do it you won’t regret it!

Feel:
If you’re reading this you’re probably not one of those “coated strings suck” snobs. But if you are, let me say these strings don’t behave like coated strings, except for their playability and longevity aspect. They feel sleek, slippery, but not artificially so. Even the non-wound high strings stay slippery, they don’t get that chunky, rusty feel after a couple weeks, they are a real pleasure to play!
Stability & longevity:
I’ve been playing for about 30 years, and I don’t notice any tuning issues that I didn’t notice with other strings, coated or not, so as far as I can tell stability isn’t an issue. I used to use Elixirs (for longevity) but the last 2 or 3 years it’s only D’Addario XS for me, for acoustics and electrics. No joke, I got 1.5 years out of these on my acoustic. Granted I don’t play it every day, but weekly, yes. I regularly get 5 or 6 months on my electrics which I play nearly daily. YMMV as with anything, but I’m telling you these are the real deal, there is no better string at the time of this writing, in my humble opinion.
Sound:
Electric sound- who cares; there’s so much more to your sound than the strings on an electric, so play strings that feel good and last, agree with me or not but that’s my advice.
Acoustic sound- well, if you’re a sound snob for your acoustics, you may -or may not- like these. They don’t seem as bright and nasally as Elixirs, but they are bright and crisp, for what I like my acoustics to sounds like they’re perfect for me. If you have a spruce top, you may think they’re extra bright, my main one is solid mahogany so they work wonderful. Again, YMMV if you seek a specific sound from acoustic strings based on your guitar’s wood or top type.

Fresh feeling and tone lasts forever. Just dont forget to wipe down your strings after playing to avoid junk build up. Thats what i find kills this string the most.
David Emmanuel Barraza Paredes –

If you’re looking for something that is very durable, will last a long time without loosing that crisp, new guitar string sound and you want something that allows you to slide up and down the fretboard with ease, then these are the strings for you. I wish they were a tad cheaper. I’m not sure why on amazon you can get 1 pack for $27.99 but you can get the 3 pack for $52-54.
