Haven’t taken snow or water photos with these yet so I’ll have to comment in a month after my tripe BUT, they screw into the filter holder on my Nikon CoolPix very nicely, the optics just examined by eye look extremely good, much better than a cheap set I’m replacing. Only commenting now because I read a lot of critiques of filters regarding the screw threads.

I’ve been using these filters on my AW100 with the adapter. I was pretty please with that little rugged point and shoot’s pictures on my hikes, but these filters take the pictures to a whole new level. I’m new to using things like that, so I won’t proclaim to be an expert and preach the virtues of using, etc. but the neutral density filter works wonders against bright sunlight trying to wash out your images, as well as defining babbling brooks and streams. The polarizer works nicely for fighting off reflections. Haven’t really used the UV very much.
The pouch is 4 slots, so you can either pick up another filter (I may try out another ND, like a two stop nd6 type or something), or I tend to store the filter adapter in that spot when not in use, it’s a slender pouch and tucks right into my cleaning kit.

The filters are good for their price, but I wish I’d purchased the next level of quality Hoya filters. They cost to much to return to 17th Street Photo.

This kit was a perfect gift for a Sony a6000 owner. Includes all of the basic filters a casual user will need in a small and convenient pouch. Might not be suitable for the higher-end user (I don’t believe these filters were multi-coated) but for most everyone else they are just fine at a good price point.

I had no idea that there were available filters for the Olympus TG-4 so ordered these, primarily for the chance to use a Polarizer Filters on landscape shots. Filter does work but not as pronounced in effect as hoped, even when shooting at right angles to the sun. However for the price they are worth purchasing.

I purchased this kit from Kellards, a Fulfillment by Amazon seller, to fit the standardย
Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6
ย lens that comes with theย
Olympus PEN E-P1
ย kit. I’ve used these filters and highly recommend them for landscape, travel, and vacation photography.
The multi-coated UV filter stays on this lens all the time. It keeps dirt and dust off the lens. It also can protect the lens’s front element from small bumps and bruises.
The circular polarizing filter really comes in handy when shooting through windows. You can rotate the filter to reduce the appearance of glare (somewhat, not completely). And when shooting a creek, you turn the filter to see the sky reflected off the top of the water, look through to the bottom of the creek, or pick a point somewhere in between.
This filter is also great for landscapes with open sky and clouds. This works best when shooting in morning or afternoon light, but not so well when shooting at noon. Turning the filter allows you to darken the blue sky and deepen greens without darkening white clouds or impacting yellows and reds. The results are gorgeous.
The neutral density filter is necessary to take pictures of moving water (rivers, waterfalls) in bright sunlight that appear completely blurred. Without it, the longest shutter speed at the lowest ISO will be about 1/60th of a second. With it, you can slow down to 1/8th of a second. Water appears to be more of a white sheet than a clear stream when photographed this way.
There are a lot of competing kits, including some from the Sakar photo group (Polaroid and Vivitar) that cost less. Why buy this more expensive Hoya kit? The multi-coated UV filter, which is substantially more expensive than a single-coated filter. Try to buy that separately, and you’ll find out how good a value this kit is. Five stars for a great kit of three really useful filters.

I was looking for a simple, low-cost but good quality UV filter for my new camera… and decided I’d give this kit a try (as it also includes a polarizing and fluorescent-light filter). Simple and easy to use/attach to the lens, and did exactly what I needed it to do.
The polarizing filter is EXCELLENT for this price point. The little case the filters come in is a nice added extra too ๐
5**** Top marks. Really pleased – thank you!
