I really like the picture quality from this camera. I have both the 360 mod and the 4K mod. Both give a great picture and are easy to get into premiere pro to edit. I’m using three stock batteries and they both last long enough for what I need them for, I can see how the extended battery might be useful in the future. but for now the standard batteries are great. The camera is holding up very well for what I use it for which is recording hockey games. I have not yet gotten into deep water but I have gotten it splashed a couple of times and it works fine.
I use this camera for videoing my kids hockey games. I have a goalie that we mount the camera on the glass behind them and it catches the entire ice except for the two corners right there by the goal. I use the 360 mod for my younger child who plays cross ice and I can get the entire game using the 360 mod. It also makes posting the videos to YouTube kind of fun. Because parents can use controls to follow their player on the ice.
If I had a complaint about the camera it would actually be with the app that insta360 pushes out for use with Android. In my experience the app does not work very well on Android so I do most of my stuff in post as opposed to using the filters and settings in the app.

When you use the Insta 360 studio for windows be shure to activate “chromatic calibration”.
When you use the app for cellphone (Android) before download the videos to the cellphone while seeing the video click on the upper right corner (tree dots) (…) will see Basic and Accessories, click on Basic and scroll down to turn on Chromatic Calibration.

Cuando se use el programa Insta 360 studio para windows asegurarse de activar “calibración cromática”.
Cuando se usa la aplicación para teléfono (Android) antes de descargar el video al telefono mientras se esta reproduciendo hacer click en la esquina superior derecha en los tres puntos(…) aparece Basic y Accessories, hacer click en Basic y luego bajar en la pantalla y activar Chromatic Calibration.

J’ai vraiment été surpris par cette caméra. Et surtout par sa polyvalence. L’objectif interchangeable permet vraiment d’avoir plusieurs caméra en un (j’avais peur de la fragilité du système mais celui-ci est simple d’utilisation et vraiment efficace). Le première objectif permet d’avoir une caméra sportive traditionnel mais la où ça deviens intéressant c’est que l’on a dans les mains une caméra poussant à la créativité. En mettant l’objectif 360 on a vraiment des milliers de possibilité et le rendu est vraiment incroyable. on vois le monde totalement différement. En bref une caméra au top poussant à la créativité et ultra polyvalente!
I was really surprised by this camera. And especially by its versatility. The interchangeable lens really allows you to have several cameras in one (I was afraid of the fragility of the system but this one is simple to use and really efficient). The first lens allows you to have a traditional sports camera, but where it becomes interesting is that you have in your hands a camera that encourages creativity. By putting the 360 lens you have thousands of possibilities and the rendering is really incredible. You see the world totally differently. In short, a camera that is at the top of its class, creative and ultra versatile!

This camera has so much fun to play with. It is a modular camera built up with the core, the battery and different lens, like LEGO. What really blows my mind is it could waterproof after building up together. I dipped the camera in my swimming pool in my first testing and it kept recording and never died. Such a great design!
The software is easy to use. I could connect to my iPhone in less than 3 seconds. The Shot lab is a gift for people like me who don’t have lots of editing skills. Good job Insta360!
I would also like to try out the 1-inch mod. The resolution and lowlight performance look great. I would definitely consider to buy it.

Para mi este es el punto mágico que hace grande esta cámara. Insta360 ha desarrollado su propio algoritmo de visión para identificar las mejores partes de cualquier vídeo 360 y recomendárselo a los creadores. Hay muchas opciones diferentes posibles, pero Auto Frame te ayuda a elegir aquellas que valen la pena y hacen el reencuadre por ti si lo quisieras. La app de la ONE R viene también con muchas funciones de edición, como el modo TimeShift, que ahora puede hacerse en un par de toques, y el nuevo algoritmo de Detección de Pose que permite a los usuarios identificar y extraer instantáneamente en un vídeo donde el usuario tiene la misma posición,
permitiendo un efecto de Stop Motion automático.
El modo Starlapse calibra automáticamente la exposición de la cámara para capturar timelapses dinámicos en 360 grados. Para quienes no necesiten tener tanto control sobre la edición, FlashCut es el algoritmo de edición automática basada en contenido de la ONE R.
Resumiendo, si estás buscando una cámara para tus aventuras, viajes y momentos esta es tu cámara . La Insta360 ONE R Twin Edition trae consigo dos formas de grabación: el Mod de Doble Lente 360 y el Mod 4K Gran Angular ya que muy pocas cámaras traen dos objetivos de gran calidad, pero creo que el exito esta en lo facil que puedes editar tus aventuras con un simple móvil sin tener ni idea de edición.

Ik was al lang op zoek naar een 3D camera en deze kwam op mijn pad. Het was Amazon Prime day en via de website van Insta kon ik ook nog een gratis stick krijgen. Totaal €98 korting. De levering was binnen 2 dagen en daarna begon het gedoe. Ik ben eerst een uur bezig geweest om te connecten. Bluetooth aan, WiFi aan naar niks hielp. Steeds foutmeldingen Connectionfail). Nadat het eindelijk gelukt was, viel me direct een stitch-fout op. Ik had het al op Youtube gezien, maar dacht dat het na 1,5 m wel weg zou zijn. Niet dus. De fout zit aan de kant van het display, omdat dit de verste afstand van de lens is.
De volgende dag weer proberen. Helaas crashed de app. Steeds maar weer. Ik heb de cache leeggemaakt, tot wel 4x aan toe de app opnieuwe geïnstalleerd, naar niets hielp. Ik heb een Samsung S9 met Oreo (Android 8), en ik wil niet upgraden naar versie 10.
Ook heb ik een Tab S6. Hier draait de app prima op, maar om die nou altijd mee te nemen.
Ik lees trouwens heel veel slechte recensies over de App in de Playstore (2.8 uit 5)
Ik heb trouwens de Twin editie en de action cam heb ik nog niet gebruikt.
De gratis selfiestick gebruik ik niet want ik, heb een selfiestick met pootjes. En die is ook ‘invisible’.
De app is nog erg wennen, want je kan erg veel. Ook wordt de app regelmatig geupgrade (heb nu 1.37). Je moet vooral veel YouTube filmpjes kijken, want een goede handleiding is er niet.
Veel minpunten, maar ik denk dat het een leuk speeltje is.
Nu nog een gratis app vinden op de GearVR zodat ik ook 360 graden filmpjes kan kijken en niet alleen 360 foto’s. Nog een tip, gemaakte films kun je niet als batch exporteren, ook al kun je ze wel selecteren (haal die optie dan weg zou ik zeggen). Een films moet je aanklikken en dan kiezen hoe deze geëxporteerd moet worden.

I’m a professional indy video creator, who travels a lot. I’ve been an avid Insta360 ONE X user for a couple years. This camera is a very solid upgrade from that. It not only replaces my ONE X, it also replaces my gopro, which I honestly don’t use as much, and thus wasn’t carrying it in my camera bag much. With the ONE R, I can now always have a solid action camera alongside my 360 camera, without taking up much more space in my camera bag.
Pros: Solid picture quality from both camera attachments, excellent stabilization, generally easy to shoot with. The mobile app is amazing, and is a very easy workflow to pull photos and video off the camera, edit, and post to social media, while I’m still out in the field.
Cons:
– The software on the camera is a bit rough around the edges – not always easy to tell if it’s recording or not.
– The software workflow for editing the 360 video in pro video editing software SUCKS. I use Adobe Premiere, and it requires a ton of unnecessary steps using 3rd party software (including a Gopro plugin). For casual use though, the Insta360 software is adequate.

I got the first gen ONE for free as a white elephant gift during Christmas time 2 years ago. When i use it for the first time, (also that’s what all my friends were thinking) i thought i need to turn myself 360 degree in order to capture everything. But the thing is, you DON’T. You just need to hold it and walk around, and then it will capture everything and you can reframe the footage after the fact. I bring it to all my previous trips, and it was such a great product. And that’s why i ordered this second gen as soon as it comes out.
It got a whole new design (like a gopro), but with way more features. One of my favorite is the short lab thing on their app. You can learn tricks to do creative & pro shooting with the app. Also the latest clone trails effect is very interesting.
I wish i could post more images but because of the Covid situation i’m kind of stuck at home and when i start traveling again i will post new images then.
