This combines a direction action camera and a 360° camera all in one. For skiing and snowboarding the 360° camera is so easy to use no shot gets missed. More directional action the regular lens is perfect. I previously used go pro products in the past Which also worked well but this takes it to the next level

I bought the “last item in stock” and was really looking forward to getting this ahead of my honeymoon…. unfortunately it turned up missing the battery cable and the screw in mount. The box was already opened, covered in dust and dirt and the camera has 2 dents and scratches…..ridiculous…..you’d think insta360 would want to make a better name for themselves….I’m going GoPro as I should’ve done in the first place

This device was released around the summer of 2020, but I purchased the twin edition of this action camera about a month ago after waiting for firmware releases, and bugs to be worked out for the past few months. The big selling point for me was the modularity that this product offers. So far, the most use I’ve had was using the dual-lens to create some really great videos with little effort and the ability to edit from your mobile device with relative ease. Only drawbacks I’ve noted so far is the lens flare caused by direct sunlight that shows up and is noticeable on the video as well as that the camera produces a proprietary file format by default and you’ll need to convert it to MP4 at some point during post.

Bought this with high expectations after watching many Youtube reviews and online reviews too. When it arrived I was excited to give it a try so I charged the battery. While it was charging I connected it to the app and authenticated it which was not an easy task took several tries. Once that was all done it connected okay. Took the Insta360 One R outside and started recording. Somewhere between 20-30 minutes it stopped recording. I thought the battery had died so I picked up and went back inside. When I plugged it in and connected to the app I discovered I still had +50% battery left. This caused be to do some deep digging and I found others have had an issue with a long pause between clips and others with an overheating issue. Decided to try it again later than evening after the battery was charged again. This time it was inside in a 76 degree house. 30 minutes after starting the recording it stopped again. The next morning I did the same thing started recording with a full battery. 30 minutes later it stopped again this time with a message on the screen saying it was to HOT to resume recording. There is an article on 360Rumors about adding heat sinks to the Insta360 One R to keep it cool.
The Insta360 One R did not give me that warm fuzzy feeling I should have gotten after receiving a new toy. Instead I was greeted with issues that should have been reported and frustration. Needless to say I returned it for a refund and moved on. Personally I can’t recommend this 360 camera to anyone.

I found out about this camera when I was watching a YouTube tech review. I immediately fell in love. I’m obsessed with capturing video of all of my activities. And I live a very active lifestyle so I’m always on the go.
I’ve only had a few days to test this thing out but I can already say that I’m blown away! My problem is that I’ve never been good at taking videos. With my GoPro, my framing is wrong a lot of the time and I can never quite capture the moment properly, leading to a lot of unusable clips and frustration. This camera lets me capture everything without having to worry about missing anything. I tried a 360 camera a couple of years ago but couldn’t take it too seriously because the quality wasn’t up to par with the latest cameras and even cell phones. The quality on ONE R is fantastic! I can also shoot high frame rate footage which is awesome when I go mountain biking or snowboarding!
Another great thing about this camera is the fact that you can change your settings to get the perfect shot. A lot of the settings on my GoPro are fixed, so you get what you get. The test clips I shot were all in auto which looked fantastic!
I’m OBSESSED all of smart features in the app. In general the app is super easy to learn and there are a TON of “WOW” features packed in. After you shoot your footage, you can pull up these pre-programmed automated editing templates that essentially make you into a professional editor. There is one in particular that lets you create an automated “stop motion” effect by selecting one of your video files! I haven’t seen in any other action camera.
I showed ONE R to some of my friends who work on TV shows and they said 360 cameras are becoming really popular for filmmakers across the board! I’m excited to use it more and create some really incredible videos!

Absolutely love it, it arrived within 4 days. Which is awesome cause if you purchase from Insta360 it can take nearly a month or longer to receive your order. Came in perfect condition works great with my Samsung Note 8 when connected to the app. Let me mention that the app is my favorite part. Editing is so easy, and super fun. All I can say is wow the shots you can capture with this cam is insane. So glad I bought it and can’t wait to get some more footage. Buy one you won’t regret it, this is a camera that just raised the bar.

So far I am really enjoying this camera. Its the “funnest” camera ive ever owned. Ive had DSLRs, DSLM, and other smaller cameras but this one makes me want to go out and shoot. Its fun editing the 360 footage and seeing all you can do with it. Its not perfect, but neither is a GoPro.
The app:
App is pretty friendly once you figure it out. I recommend cutting your videos first, then downloading to your phone before making a story. If you try to make a story without downloading locally, itll take FOREVER to export. When filming, i find its best to use the phone to frame (if using the 4k lens) but i stop the recording with the camera button. The app froze on me a few times when i tried to stop recording on the app.
The camera:
Nice and compact. I love that its modular. I already can think of scenarios where i would need both lenses. I heavily debated the 1 inch mod, but i think it works not having it because the footage will match more if using both lenses to make a video. The 1 inch would be far superior to the 360 and might make the videos look weird. Battery lasts me around an hour or so shooting pretty constant on and off.
Stabilization:
So far its pretty good. Much better on the 360 lens. Dont record in HDR if you are shooting action shots, itll look very odd, shakey, etc. HDR mode can be used when you want to do time lapses, wide “cinematic” shots of mountaind, skies, etc. When in motion use normal mode.

Ottima secondo tutti gli aspetti. Molte recensioni secondo me disinformato. Ho letto di restituzioni varie che a mio parere sono dovute ad ignoranza. Certe fessure tra la batteria ed il corpo é comprensibile essendo modulabile e non compromette le impermeabilità (testata in più occasioni). Infatti è perfettamente impermeabile senza l’ausilio di custodie (utilizzabili se si vuole anche proteggere dagli urti o portare sotto i 5m di profondità).
Che dopo qualche minuto di utilizzo scaldi é comprensibile viste le dimensioni. Ma niente di fastidioso (almenk nel mio caso non compromette la possibilità di tenerla come si preferisce ne crea blocchi dovuti alla temperatura). Io l’ho usata molte volte in video di 2 ore o time lapse di 24 ore senza avere nessun problema dovuto alle temperature. Ho sia la batteria standard che quella maggiorata. La batteria standard dura circa 1 ora e 50 minuti, quella maggiorata circa il doppio o qualcosa in più… (non so con precisione perché oltre a 1 ora di ripresa video non mi capita di usarla se non per i time lapse che durano molto di più, ed in quei casi la lascio con un power Bank collegato e me ne vado tornando dopo molte ore.
La qualità video credo sia superfluo commentarla perché è eccezionale, sia col modulo 360 che con il modulo con sensore da 1 pollice. Avendo quello non uso mai il modulo 4k perché se non uso il modulo 360 monto il modulo Leica che è sicuramente superiore.
Direi che sono pienamente soddisfatto… Costa parecchio, ma a mio parere vale quanto costa, perché i risultati lasciano sbalorditi, nonostante faccia fotografie con reflex professionali da anni (anche per lavoro)

Viendo las opiniones del producto, y sabiendo que lo compraba en estado “reacondicionado” tenía miedo de lo que me llegaría. Mi sorpresa fue que no tenía ni un arañazo, funciona perfectamente, y me ahorré bastante dinero que comprándolo nuevo. El vendedor cumplió de sobra, y el producto sobrepasa mis espectativas, ya que me esperaba algo mucho más engorroso a la hora de editar, y en cambio, es muy intuitivo el aprendizaje, hay muchos tutoriales en internet, y en un par de tardes ya lo tienes dominado. La cámara es una maravilla, si bien la calidad de 360 en cuanto a alta definición no es muy alta (en ninguna camara 320 lo es), cuentas con otra cámara 4k que está muy bien, aunque lo interesante es la 360, claro, si no nos interesase el objetivo 360 mejor calidad te la ofrece una de las últimas gopro, pero, ciñéndonos al intereses por la cámara 360, esta me parece muy muy buena compra.
