I’ve been using this stabilizer with my mirrorless Sony cameras for a few weeks now, and I can say I’m very happy with the results it delivers! It takes some time to get used to it, but soon I was able to get nice and smooth images. Very cool!

Frankly, I could write a thousand words on this rig, but I’ll save you a lot of reading, not all but some.
I ordered this because it was two things, a FeiyuTech SCORP and the vertical design. I’ve had good results with FeiyuTech in the past so I trust the brand. I really like and wanted a small format vertical gimbal and have for some time so this just made sense to me.
Having more than one gimbal the first order of business when this arrived was to get it charged up, not look at the instructions, and get a camera mounted and in use. Which is exactly what I did.. If you have a gimbal the Scorp M2 is intuitive and easy to get rigged. If this is your first gimbal, YES read all the instructions over and over.
Once set up it is a dream to use. the touchpad is fantastic, I have had no figgity moments and it is a rock-solid filming platform. And because of the size and payload capacity, it is the perfect choice for using in an area where I do not want to bring a lot of unwanted attention to my filming. Also, this rig is the answer for a lot of us who use gimbals a lot and cannot or refuse to spend 4X the cost of the Scorp Mini 2.
Now let’s talk about the 800lb gorilla feature that sets the Scorp M2 way above the rest in this category, tracking. The tracking feature on the gimbal just works perfectly for me. As a single shooter, this has given me a huge advantage over shooting, moving a tripod, shooting then moving the tripod again and again.
With the tracking I set the tripod in one spot, walk the filming area with the tracking on to make sure that the framing stays where it should be. I move back to first position remote the camera on, give the hand gesture to the gimbal, and go to work. If you have done single shooter in the past then you will get this completely, “I get more done that is edit-ready first takes when I am not concerned at all about the framing, it is a massive load off my mind that lets me concentrate on the content over the camera”.
Like I said at the beginning, I could write thousands of words on this rig. I’ll do this instead. the FeiyuTech SCORP Mini 2 is a tool that every shooter needs in the kit box. and if you consider yourself a person who just wants to up your game in getting great video for your life and events, I do not see how you could go wrong with this rig. Easy to use, fun, and gives you the real opportunity to create content over just shooting video.

Der Gimbal kommt in einer durchdachten Box daher, die schnell mal mitgenommen werden kann.
Mein Einsatz ist ein IPhone, nachdem man sich das gesamte Zubehรถr ein Mal genauer angeschaut hat, weiร man auch was fรผr was ist.
Die Anleitung ist in diesem Fall nicht ganz so nรผtzlich, die Erklรคrvideos (was mir ohnehin lieber ist) dafรผr umso mehr.
Die gemeinsame Nutzung mit der App ist in vielen Punkten selbsteekrend, einiges ergibt sich wรคhrend der Nutzung ohnehin automatisch, wenn man bereits schon mal einen Gimbal besessen hat.
Die Nutzung an sich lรคuft gut durchdacht, es ist klar zu merken, das hier eine KI mit am Werk ist, der Gimbal ist in alle Richtungen nutzbar und macht mit den verschiedenen Einstellungsmรถglichkeiten genau das was man mรถchte. Smoothe Bilder und Videos die man ohne Gimbal nicht so einfach hinbekommen wรผrde. Die Bedienung am Gerรคt selbst erschlieรt sich ebenso logisch, dass es auch fรผr Anfรคnger geeignet ist.
Der Einsatz von Kameras usw. ist ein groรes Plus – auch hier erwarte ich professionelle Ergebnisse.
Zusammengefasst, ein gut durchdachtes Gerรคt welches zuverlรคssig seine Arbeit leistet.

The Scorp mini 2 is a really good gimbal for an amazing price. It might not be the most portable gimbal when folded, but it makes up with ergonomics in action. The Scorp Mini 2 is designed to work with various devices, with all required mounting options included. The tiny touch-enabled display offers most of the controls, if you want bigger and more options you can use the dedicated app.
It takes about 5 min to assemble Scorp Mini 2 in the desired configuration. No tools are required, as everything connects using quick-release mounts and the metal construction of each axis arm gives durable impressions. Each motor comes with a dedicated lock to store the gimbal for transport and plates allow for adjustments to balance even the biggest payloads (up to 1.2kg). Switching between a mobile phone, action camera or DSLR shouldnโt take more than 2-3 min. From a control perspective, the Scorp Mini 2 is designed well. The handle with a big OLED touch-enabled display is easy to navigate and 7 dedicated buttons + a joystick control everything from power to special functions and modifiers. I particularly like the fact that the rotary encoder can be assigned to each axis with a flip of a side button, or set to control the cameraโs focus or zoom (with compatible models).
All leaves a very professional impression, and it eases the operations. Even if your camera isnโt supported, the ability to quickly adjust the angle of one of the axes, cannot be overstated. If I could complain about one thing, it would be the position of the rotary encoder, which is a bit too far from my thumb to reach it with one hand. Iโd love that option to make micro tilt adjustments.
The AI tracking is very responsive to gestures. It works so well, Iโm impressed., I didnt know what to expect and am pleases the Scorp Mini 2 to do well with single face tracking and completely fall apart when multiple faces are presented. I tried to fool the AI tracker but even when I tried to deliberately confuse it by going behind another person, 9 out of 10 times, the AI would resolve the track correctly and follow me accordingly.
I can strongly recommend this Scrop 2 mini, it stands out above others. Not only because of the price but also built quality and overall look and feel.
I purchased the extension pole which is a very nice add-on which gave an even better feel, especially when push the Scrop mini 2 more horizontal or when making higher overview shots!

ย Honestly this little thing surprised me. I used it with my Sony ZVE1 with a cage on it so it is still quite a hefty boy but i was able to run it. I had it with a 20mm prime lens and although i do need to help it sometimes it was able to easily handle it once it got going. The gimbal features all work qutie well and just seem to be intuitive right out of the box. I filmed quite a few shorts and long form videos with the gimbal and each time it is quite easy to do besides rebalancing which took me some practice with this particular gimbal.
I love that there are hand signals you can give the gimbal to start following,framing. It is quite good although because the camera is to the left a little it is just slightly out of frame at times especially with a tight lens.
Overall this thing has been a joy to use and i am quite impressed with its capabiltities a huge win is that this is light weight and much smaller than most gimbals.
