I bought this as it is wifi enabled and I can use an older flatscreen to watch Netflix. Works great for me.

I have only just received the player, but after trying it out some it plays very nice. The picture is clean and crisp.
It was nice that a cleaning kit came with it. Ears buds are crappie. Set up was a snap. Shipping time was about right.
I personally like Sony products. They have been at it awhile , so to me this was just one more of their produucts to add to my other Sony items. Price was a little high, and it might be found cheeper elsewhere. Over all I like it and It does what I bought it for. Hope this helps.

I ordered this player earlier this year and I just ordered it again. Why, you may ask. Even though you didn’t ask, I will tell you. It performs unbelievably as a Blu-Ray player BUT – BUT, it plays SACDs. At this price point, this feature is priceless. Well actually Sony has put a price on it, but to me it is priceless. Buying a component SACD is EXPENSIVE, whereas this is very reasonably priced and plays SACDs. If you don’t own SACDs, no big deal. I do own them (and a couple of Audio DVDs) and I really enjoy 5.1 sound – and this provides and performs. Get one if you have SACDs and were wondering how to play them again without mortgage payments to buy an exclusive SACD player. You won’t be disappointed.

Great bundle deal. Works Perfectly , But it won’t play any burned disks

It starts out strong. No issues for a month. Then it started, as other reviews have said, to just shut off. Sometimes it would restart itself, others it wouldn’t.
After about six weeks of that, it froze suddenly midway into a prime movie (one we’d seen a couple times prior on the player). I restarted it (as usual) and it … couldn’t connect to my WiFi.
Every other device in my house is connected and working happily. It’s been a week of trying everything online, in the owner’s manual, manual network set up, factory reset, unplug and plug, everything. Still plays DVD’s but absolutely cannot connect to the WiFi, no matter what.
I dug the buggy old Samsung out and plugged it back in. At least it connected.
Also this doesn’t have Hulu. It’s not a bug though or unique to Sony – most smart DVD players we looked at don’t have support for the Hulu app anymore.

This Sony player is a true upgrade from my Samsung which died recently. This player is QUIET, unlike my Samsung that chirped and spun and made jerky tracking noises from day one. The remote is small and easy to use. The setup was very easy, even for a techno-dope like me.
PLEASE NOTE – the earbuds in this bundle ARE NOT SONY. They are crap. I have already thrown them away. Sound only came out of one side unless I jiggled the input and then it was stereostatic.
So if you really don’t need the HDMI cable and cleaner, just buy the non bundled player for $30.00 less (see link below)…THE EARBUDS ARE NOT SONY; they are junk that the seller is offloading. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BTTHXZU/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_gvbAAbFGDFZ85

The Sony BDP-S6700 4K Upscaling 3D Streaming Blu-Ray Disc Player with Built-in WiFi is all one would expect from Sony. Well built, full of features and compact in design. Setup was a breeze and the upscaling 3D works great! 5+ stars. The remote is very logically laid out and even came with batteries!
The other candy (HDMI cable, etc.) was fine, too, except the earbuds. You guys can save the 10 seconds and $0.80 you paid for the earbuds and just leave them out. One of the bud ends was broken off, while still in the BOX! How does something like that get missed? And, judging from the sound I got out of the left bud, they weren’t worth it, anyway.
That’s the only reason for a 4 instead of a 5 overall rating.
Buy the DVD player! Don’t use the candy as a consideration.

Only 4k upscaling?! I should’ve read the description more closely, but for over a $100 in 2021 for a blu-ray player, I was expecting to be able to play a 4k disc, not just get 4k upscaling. Docked a star for half-baked 4k support.
Other than that rather major oversight, the player works fine. It’s a very small player, as is the remote, but the menu and setup are good. Can’t speak to the streaming capabilities as I use a disc player for, well, discs. Why does everything need streaming built in when a Roku is cheap and does it better?
The 4k upscaling works pretty well for 1080p blu-ray, but not so much for 480p DVD. In fact, 480p content looks like 480p with no magic upscaling applied at all. Given that 1080p content already looks good on a 4k screen and therefore DVD’s would benefit the most from a fancy upscaler, I’m wondering what the point of the 4k marketing on machine actually is.
VERDICT: Disappointed to say the least. The one thing I was expecting on a 4k player was 4k disc support. The “upscaling” doesn’t justify this machine’s existence in my opinion. But it plays 1080p and 480p discs, so if that’s all you need (as well as yet another device that can stream – in case your toaster doesn’t yet), then this player will do that.
