I misplaced the instruction “manual” (1 sheet of paper). Can anybody advise how to set regions for BluRay playback? DVDs and OK. I think that is hard-coded. Just the tricky BluRay regions (A, B & C) settings. Please help if able. Thanks.

The blu-ray player played every disc I tried flawlessly including DVD, blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD blu-ray, 3D blu-ray and even a Zone B blu-ray from the U.K. Wireless connectivity was easy to set up and works well for streaming YouTube and Netflix videos. YouTube and Netflix are the ONLY streaming apps included so, if you want more, best look elsewhere. Installation and setup were fairly simple. The only hiccup was no video signal to my TV at first which I quickly determined was caused by my HDMI cable which wasn’t high-speed enough. I replaced it with a better one and the picture appeared. My biggest quibble is the lack of bluetooth connectivity making it impossible to navigate YouTube and Netflix using my bluetooth keyboard. The menu background is plain white and there is no option for importing any kind of wallpaper to make it more interesting or visually appealing. Also, no front panel LED display – not needed but would have been nice. Everything about this unit screams “No Frills” but it does what it was designed to do.

I just got mine! You have to really play with it to swap the region code on Blu rays. There is no documentation on what to do with DVDS with respect to region codes at all!.
They also fail to mention about how to upgrade firmware! I’m assuming, to be safe, firmware upgrades will remove the multiregion capability and thus should be avoided. But, this should be mentioned.

This blue ray dvd player started making a whirring noise within one week that continued to get louder over the next two weeks. We could hear the noise while watching a movie. It was that loud. I called LG and found out there was no serial number. I don’t believe this was manufactured by LG. Amazon is returning it for us, thank goodness.

Only one star down for the remote. It’s seems to be a line of site remote but that’s alright. The player is great, easy to set up and no complaints.

The LG player has performed exceptionally well. Pure enjoyment with its operation! Picture quality of every type of disc played is 5:5! The sound has been 5:5! Hookup to my current system was plug & play. Glad I purchased this player.

In Australia it’s difficult to find a multi region DVD player, let alone Blu Ray player. The limited availability of players is restricted to lower quality. Yes, it’s Blu Ray, but the sound is generally poor and the pic is HD only.
This player upscales to 4K and gives great sound quality. All in all a better experience watching movies.
The DVDs are played automatically. The Blu rays need a simple selection process to change regions.
It also came with the adapter to allow me to plug it into Australian power points. No need for fiddly power adapters,
There is no extensive manual explaining settings etc. the player also allows Wi-Fi connection to internet, and built in Netflix and YouTube
The inclusion of a high quality HDMI cable is a bonus
My only real complaint is that it is quite expensive compared to the same model (not multi regioned) in Australia

The region free mechanism works perfectly – I have tested it with a European BD – no problem at all.
So it will play everything you throw on it – 3D, DVD, CD, BD, 4K, HDR10, MP4, etc…
It has an optical sound output so you may convert new audio format link ATMOS to DTS 5.1 therefore making it possible to connect to an older audio receiver.
