first time bose customer – long time home entertainment system user. setup was easy and straight forward – however – if you think you can connect everything with bluetooth and expect to work flawlessly you have another thing coming
first – my tv is a sony brava 85 inch led smart tv- google tv
second – i have this paired up with a bass module and surround speakers
now when i pair this up with bluetooth to the tv – the audio comes in and out constantly – i ultimtaely found out its some kind of issue with the the way the remote works with bluetooth which conflicts a lot of the sound
i originally bought this unit and the other components because its bose and i could do it all wirelessly – in the end – now i have to have two remotes – and i had to connect the soundbar via optical to stop the bluetooth audio blanking out every so many minutes
bose should have done a better job with integrations into current tv manufacturers to make sure this doesnt happen
when i bluetooth to the bar via phone or laptop it also has the issue of audio cutting out
even worse – the audio is delayed bigly as they say –
if you wind up getting this bar – heed my advise – connect via optical or maybe hdmi if that works for you – otherwise – expect audio cutting in and out no matter what you do

I couldn’t wait to return this soundbar. Like so many others, I wanted an upgrade from my old Yamaha soundbar to an offering w/ Dolby Atmos, and debated between the Bose 900 and the Sonos Arc. I already have 5 other Sonos speakers so one would think the Arc was a no-brainer, but as a monstrosity of a speaker in size, the Arc would have required me to revamp my entire TV setup to fit on my stand. The Bose was so sleek and the size was perfect for my current setup placed between the stock TV “chicken legs” without blocking the bottom of the TV. Since I wasn’t planning to use the TV soundbar for a whole room music speaker effect, I went with the Bose. BIG MISTAKE!!! The Bose app was basic but even worse, very glitchy. I had to go thru the calibration process 4 times because the 1st three times the app froze up on me. Then, once it finally accepted my settings, it lost them, so I was forced to do it yet another time. Dialogue mode kept turning off at random times. The soundbar’s volume functions would not stay programmed to my Chromecast remote, something my old Yamaha soundbar never failed to do. You couldn’t tell when the bar was on or off, and could barely tell if/when it was picking up volume key signals. Admittedly, the overall sound clarity and quality was better than my Yamaha, which was less than a third of the price of the Bose, but for the price difference, I expected that to be the case at a minimum. It did not improve the quality of my listening experience enough to justify the price difference and glitchy performance. My husband loves old-school Bose speakers so the bar was set high (so to speak), but this speaker simply did not deliver. Not as important to me but still annoying is Bose’s lack of integrated music streaming services such as YouTube Music (which is what we subscribe to) and Google Music. Back in the box it goes to be returned. My Arc is on backorder but I am willing to wait AND revamp my TV setup to make room for it. The Bose was a good fit in size, but that’s the only positive I have to say about it. One disappointing star.

Really Beautiful looking product, gem for sound quality you can trust blindfully just the issue for me was connecting first time doing setup just fyi it doesnt outputs sound unless until activated through bose app that was new for me really detailed setup menu much to play and organize loved it.

I was skeptical since lots of reviews complained about connectivity and sound quality. It’s a higher end sound bar and one expects it perform as such. After watching dozens of videos, I decided to purchase the bose 900 because it had something no other soundbar has, ADAPTIQ. I have it connected to a 6 month old Samsung OLED tv by HDMI and controlled with bose music app on my PHONE. I IMMEDIATELY SETUP ADAPTIQ and the eq in the app and it sounds amazing, immersive rich sound and deep bass. When I turn on the tv, it turns on automatically too. When I want to play music with my phone, I can turn it on or switch devices either with the bose music app or with Spotify. I could see having issues if not using bose music app. Overall I feel completely satisfied with the soundbar so far 👍🏻

Since I bought this device in 2023 it has been a nightmare!
It works sometimes and sometimes it does not work!!
I had a nose teck help me set it up and it work then it stops!
It disconnects from my TV!!!
TV is a 85 inch samsung bought it about the same time I bought this bose speaker!
The sound is great but it does not want to connect! I have tryed very port I checked the wire!
Its driving me crazy I should have send it back when I first encountered the problem!!
I disconnected the power on and off I disconnected the hdmi!
I have spent almost all day trying to figure out this device!!
