This is the smallest, most compact DVD player I’ve owned so far. Length and width is about the size of my hand. It fits right in the space next to my tv, and won’t fall off the shelf. My previous player did not last very long before it started acting up and since I’m a dedicated DVD owner, I needed a new one. After reading many reviews and wanting a player that could also handle CDs, I chose this one. I like the bright, digital display and the very thin, lightweight remote. Setup was easy: just plug in the 3 colored cord to the corresponding 3 colored slots on your tv, then plug the electric cord into the wall. Ready to go! Only negatives are the surprisingly loud vibrating noise as the disc starts up or switches between tracks (manual switching) and the rather lengthy delay before the movie or CD begins to play. I had to set the player on a padded mat to lessen the noise of the vibration.

J’ai pu tester avec des DVD videos et des CD audio, tout fonctionne parfaitement.
Je n’ai pas testé le multizone, mais j’aurais bien aimé avoir cela à l’âge d’or du DVD. Ca m’aurait permis de lire les DVD importés sans avoir à bidouiller.
J’aime la connectique d’alimentation en USB C, très pratique.
Emballage complet, il y a même un câble HDMI fourni.
Si vous voulez ressortir votre collection de DVD, c’est un bon rapport qualité/prix.

Actually, I plan to use this player in China, but bought it here to get English remote and manual. I did test the unit in US: DVD picture quality is good, it plays CD’s, it reads flash drives both for pictures and music (and probably movies), remote does everything I need. When used for music, TV displays stationary disk/flash directory, which I am concerned could burn the screen if left on-screen for very long time. Unit appears to read 32GB flash drives. The manual is useful and good English. The supplied HDMI cable I received appears to be bad (I substituted another cable and everything then worked). What is very reassuring to me is the paperwork supplied with the unit assuring me the unit has a one year warranty, and company will do everything necessary (including sending me a replacement unit) if I am not satisfied during that time. I did contact the company by the supplied email address, [email protected], at which they promise to respond within 24 hours. Unfortunately, there has been no response for a week, but China currently has extended the Chinese new year holiday and quarantined several cities, so I suspect the company has been forcibly shut down for now and cannot respond. I believe they will send me a replacement cable when possible, but even if not the unit is an excellent product for the money.

4 DVDs played flawlessly in the new player. I conclude the original was an extremely rare dud. That would explain why the Ceihoit has so many high positive Amazon ratings. 2 CDs also played w/out problems. I’m very impressed with the excellent customer service and now am happy with the player performance. RAISING MY RATING. Initial hiccup, but overall I think they’re better than 4 stars so will raise to 5 stars

Seller **express shipped** a replacement player which I’m now testing. First movie loaded w/out issue and is playing. CUSTOMER RESPONSE HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING! I increased to 3 stars and will increase to 4 or based on evaluation of this replacement.

>> Increased my rating from 1 to 2 stars. Seller contacted me immediately. Very fast replies to troubleshooting emails. Seller is now priority shipping a replacement player. This is better service than I get from my bank and insurance company and so is worth an upgrade. Assuming player arrives and tests out well, I’ll update this post – hopefully with a very positive rating.

Ok, so my kids are home again and our bluray player is getting heavy use. I bought this Ceihoit as an inexpensive DVD player to use as a 2nd unit for the holidays. BAD NEWS: despite the high number of positive ratings – the unit I got doesn’t work.
* It powered up
* Worked for ~5minutes (RCA connection)
* Switched to HDMI and the player failed (Repeated errors of “no CD” or “root”).
* I spent ~ 2 hours testing the player with 3 HDMI cables, 2 TV’s and 5 store-bought DVD movies. My other DVD player works flawlessly in each configuration, but the Ceihoit player never worked.
* Power-cycling the Ceihoit DVD player didn’t help; still won’t play DVDs
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CEIHOIT PLAYER. Maybe the USB port works? Maybe the karaoke feature works? I paid for a DVD player and didn’t get one, so I won’t waste time testing/reviewing those other features. I’m happy for those who had positive experiences – maybe I got a defective unit?! – but I’ve already wasted too much of my time so this unit is going back as dead.

Ich habe bereits ein großes Kombigerät, welches VHS und DVD abspielen und aufnehmen kann.
DVDs abspielen klappt zwar, ist aber trotzdem etwas umständlich. Zudem ist dort ein Laufgeräusch zu hören
Als ich dieses Gerät hier gesehen habe, dachte ich, bestellst mal …um den Preis machst Du nix falsch.
Das Gerät ist sozusagen federleicht. Angeschlossen habe ich es durch das HDMI Kabel am Fernseher und am Gerät selbst. Die anderen, runden Kabel, wurden von mir nicht benötigt.
Es funktioniert einwandfrei.
Meine SELBST AUFGENOMMENEN DVDs, die fast alle noch in SD Qualität sind, kommen logischerweise nicht total scharf raus, es ist ungefähr so, wie früher beim Abspielen von VHS. Aber ich bin froh, dass ich die Filme überhaupt wieder sehen kann.!
Bei den GEKAUFTEN DVDs ist das Bild allerdings besser, aber auch da ist es, logischerweise, abhängig, ob es noch eine DVD in SD, oder HD Qualität ist.
Bei mir wird die DVD ohne irgendein Laufgeräusch abgespielt, was, im Gegensatz zu meinem alten Kombigerät, einfach nur toll ist, weil nichts stört.
Zum Bedienen benutze ich nur die Fernbedienung.
Will man das Gerät jedoch per Hand bedienen, ist es etwas ungeschickt, da, wenn die Lade geöffnet ist, man schlecht an die Bedienungsknöpfe kommt, die dann unterhalb der geöffneten Lade liegen.
Diese wären, m.E., an der Oberfläche besser angebracht gewesen.
Der rote Ausknopf leuchtet auch recht kräftig, was evtl. bei Dunkelheit störend sein kann, jenachdem wo sich das Gerät befindet (z.B. Schlafzimmer)
Fazit:
Ich finde das Gerät zu diesem Angebotspreis einfach nur super.!
Da es klein, leicht und handlich ist, kann man es z.B. auch in den Urlaub mitnehmen und an jeden Fernseher mit HDMI Anschluß anschließen.

This DVD player is small and compact. It was easy and fast to set up. I plan to get a microphone so I can use it for karaoke. The DVD picture quality is good, it plays CDs, it reads flash drives both for pictures and music, remote does everything needed, however, batteries are not included so you’ll need to purchase 2x AAA batteries. When used for music, TV displays a stationary image. I bought this one because of the price and reviews. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

Hooked up DVD to TV, first with the red / yellow / white cables, then HDMI cable. No matter which one I used, the DVD PLAYER DID NOT WORK.
Given that the DVD Player doesn’t work, I highly don’t recommed, unless you want something that collects dust, taking up space………

We bought our first Ceihoit DVD player for our cottage a few months ago. We liked it so much, we bought a second one for our home! The unit is attractive and compact. It is absolutely packed with features! The remote is a huge help, and I was so impressed that the unit came with all the necessary cables to allow hookup via RCA or HDMI. And the very low price makes it an unbelievable bargain! We had a cheap mini DVD player before this, and it was so clunky and hard to use, but the Ceihoit is fast, intuitive, and very easy to use. The remote is intuitive and feels good in your hand, and provides full control over the unit. I would definitely recommend it!

We bought it specifically because it was supposed to work with Amazon prime and Netflix. It did warn with the Netflix software block that you would have to use screen mirroring. But nope that didn’t work. We tried and tried different things. Prime video did not work either. The fan sound is also loud and the volume is not good/hard to hear. And now we have to pay extra to return it to the ups drop off place. Also with screen mirroring it would not keep up with the sound and the movements so words were not linked
