It has great compatibility, and it works as intented. The concerns i have is about its battery life which is basically none, it can’t even last a day without you putting in to charge, which is obnoxious sometimes, sleep tracking is amazing, but is a pain in the back to sync that up with your phone. Construction quality is very good.

10/31/22: I realized that the battery life will depend on how many sensors you have active and which watchfaces you have. For some reason some watchfaces are battery-intense, despite looking for the same digilog watchfaces. I’ve managed to use this smartwatch up to 2 days w/out charging. I love having this watch despite its battery issue.

Notifications and apps have been very responsive after some updates. And by the time i bought it, it was reasonably affordable.

Got this for my husband. He loves it and wears it daily. Because it has a touchscreen, it does need charged every day. Other than that, he loves the way it works and looks.

Enjoying Fossil watch. Paired easily and compatible with my Samsung Phone. Good features and apps. Battery doesn’t last long depending how much you use watch.

I was just about ready to spend over $300 on a smart watch because I am kinda hooked on that stuff. I’ve had all the FitBits and some off-name brands and have spent close to $300 in the past before the screens had color and the idea was still a star-trek concept. This watch does everything those top smart watches do (except the SIM card feature, but I don’t need that) and does it for half the price. AND you get to have those features while looking classy. I’ve always loved my Fossil watches in the past and when I heard they were jumping into the smart-watch game I had to look into it. After all, I really didn’t want to display some rubber arm-computer that could break my fall if my parachute didn’t open. The ONLY downside that I’ve seen thus far (only 10 days in with constant use) is the battery life. I have to charge at least once every 18 hours with most of the features on. I still rarely turn on GPS or NSF and only have one or two of the other battery-drainers on but it does go fast. If you can get over that, this is the watch for you too. Never any problems syncing, menus are fairly easy to follow, every feature that was promised works (first time ever!) and the look of a classic timepiece… that you can also order pizza on. What a time we live in

I like the watch, battery life is kind of short, but the watch itself is nice.

The watch is perfect. Really good for any and all activities. however a lot of comments were saying the battery life was small and never really lasted. in which I can say that the watch advertises the words of “Multi day use depends on usage” If your checking it every second or keeping the screen on then the battery is gonna plummet. you have to try it for a few days and get the feel of it. Another solution to this problem is to set it to essential mode. i figured out that that will usually last you a day and a half. the daily will only last you a day at most if your lucky. finally there is a custom mode which gives you the features you need and gives me a reliable daily charge. SOMETHING THEY DONT MENTION, it only takes one hour to charge which is fairly fast. so if the battery really is the problem plug it in when you eat or when you shower TIMES YOU DONT NEED IT. and it should last you the day in daily. that is my review on the battery problem.

I’ve had this watch (Gen 5e with leather band) for two weeks now, and after playing around with it and doing one factory reset, I’m pleased with the battery life and functions.

The watch body is very substantial, with a polished nickel finish and ridges around the watch face. There is one button on the right, and the watch body comes out on either side to protect it from being bumped. The back is a textured plastic that feels very solid. It is not a lightweight watch, to be sure. But I’ve gotten used to the heft, even after not wearing a watch since I was a teenager. The band is genuine leather on the outside with a silicone back. I’m hoping it forms to my wrist more with a little wear, but it’s comfortable, and it has never snagged on any hairs.

The first few days, I was playing with features more, and added some apps. I wasn’t familiar with the watch face customizations, so I put some non-stock watch-face apps on it. I put Messages, Outlook, and the Roku remote apps on it. And I enabled developer options (which seems to have had a negative impact on battery life).

My goal for a smart watch was really just the notifications so I don’t miss meetings, emails, texts, etc, if I’m away from my phone. After a little more than a week, and having battery life issues, I did a factory reset and paired it again with my phone, knowing what I wanted to use this time.

I did not opt for any of the fitness tracking features (heart rate sensor, basically). I think it still runs, but no apps are using it. I uninstalled everything on the stock setup that was allowed (Facer and Spotify and a few others). I never enabled the permissions for sensors, so no apps should be using those. The only thing I added was Messages so I could respond to texts without getting my phone out.

Since doing this a couple days ago, my battery life is way up. At the moment, I’m 9 hours since unplugging it, and it is at 70% battery with the default power settings (“Daily Battery Mode”). I haven’t answered calls or used the speech-to-text, but unless you are doing that a lot, the battery is plenty for all day. Before doing the reset (with developer mode enabled, which I think was the culprit), it was down to about 30% after 8-9 hours.

In summary, for my use case (notifications, calendar, time) it works great. I got it on sale, so it was even more worthwhile. It looks nice, and the interface is fairly responsive. Text on the screen is sharp and readable. I wish it were a bit lighter, but overall very pleased.
