I read that surge protectors really only last 3 to 5 years, even if they still power your devices. Sure, I would say longer, but I mainly had only outlet strips, no real surge protection. I have big investment in laptops, tv’s, router, etc, so for a $45 two pack, why not? I like the peace of mind. I actually went back the next day, so happy with the quality look and feel, and bought a 2nd two pack.

The surge protectors are made of high quality components. I like the size of the surge protector since it’s compact and doesn’t take up much space. I have two of them on different saltwater aquariums and they do work well. Some water splashed on one of them and it immediately shut down and tripped the circuit. I highly recommend them.

These are perfect for apartment dwellers that have been hit with fire code requirements that extension cords can no longer be used. In my case I use these everywhere and they also look great on my work desk. Just fasten them down with the included hardware or use 25 lbs velcro fasteners to keep them from sliding around. These have plenty of surge current protection even when this power strip is overloaded. Having the USB charging ports is very handy and cost effective. These ports won’t supply enough power for modern quick charge devices, but you have special chargers for that anyway. These usb ports are good for trickle charging (sometimes better for battery health) and utility usb powered items. The angled flat wall plugs complete these well designed products.
