Short version: Yes, I definitely recommend this 65W 4-port USB-C/A fast charger. Understanding how to use it most effectively is clearly presented in the instructions.

Assuming that with 4 ports (3 USB-C, 1 USB-A), you can charge 4 devices at the same time is true, but much less effective. They must “share” the 65W. The manual clearly (and honestly) describes how the wattage is divided with various combinations of ports. I found this very helpful when combining slow-charging and fast-charging devices on the same charger, even more when including a USB-A device in the mix.

The manual is the most legible of any small electronics product that I’ve received in recent years. Although the print is small, it is clear. Even better, the important information is pictorially presented (with large images), which simplifies understanding.

This appears to be the best-constructed charger that I have, of the (dozens!) of chargers that have accumulated in recent years. With “65W” printed on the outside, I know which charger to grab for my fast-charging devices. The fact that recommended usage variations (of USB-C and USB-C/A) is clearly described lends further indication that UGREEN endeavors to be a quality provider.

So yes, I recommend this 65W 4-port USB-C fast charger.

I have a bunch of chargers from a number of manufacturers, but as I continue to move to more power, USB-C powered devices, it seems like I can never have enough. Also, given the iPhone 16 Pro Max can charge at even higher rates (including over MagSafe), I wanted a new travel charger.

This UGREEN seemed to be a good trade off of size and power. I’m using this to charge up my iPhone, and iPad Pro, AirPods and an Apple Watch. At 65W, this is a good set up for these devices, albeit if I’m charging all of those at the same time, each will get throttled back a bit. At that, either of the iPad or the iPhone will not quite get full power. I think if you have anything other than the iPhone 16 Pro or Max, you’ll get full power. But it’s close enough — and if you are desperate to charge your phone fast, you can choose a specific USB-C receptacle and either get 65W or 45W.

On to the general design, two of the three USB-C ports are higher powered, so if you want to charge a MacBook Pro or Surface or something like that, you’ll want to use those. The other USB-C port maxes out at 30. There is also a USB-A, which under some combinations can get to 15W, but more commonly seems to be at 7.5W. In general, I wish they’d go all USB-C, but that seems to be beyond most of the manufacturers design abilities, other than if you are using a much less portable design. So I’ll take the extra port vs. eliminating the 4th altogether.

The unit is pretty compact and light overall. It’s got some density to it, but really not too bad. The prongs fold into the body with a satisfying click. But when extended, they seem to hold into a wall outlet pretty well. I suspect you’ll have problems on those worn out outlets in planes and hotels, but I always carry a short pigtail grounded three-prong extension plug to try to help with that. But overall, it’s helpful that the charger is pretty light so as to not put too much pressure on the outlet, whether using the pigtail or not.

So overall, I’m happy to add this to my backpack and will serve just about any charging need I can throw at it while on the go.

I have a 65W TDP laptop, and so have been trying out several different 65W-class charger bricks to see what works best for me. As someone who travels quite a bit, I value something that’s compact and can handle my phone and my laptop simultaneously. Unfortunately, this unit is just too large to be competitive in this power class and I much prefer smaller units with the same or greater power ratings.

This unit with the power prongs retracted measures 1-5/8” (41mm), 2-5/8” (67mm), 1-1/2” (38mm) for a total volume of ~104 cc and mine weighs in at 159.7 grams. Size-wise, this compares poorly to my current 67W adapter that weighs 143.7 grams and is 37x40x49mm = 73 cc. The UGREEN being larger in every dimension and heavier makes this a no-go for my travel adapter.

The hand feel of this adapter is that of hard plastic. It has oddly shiny plastic bevel trims and matte textured sides.

When connected to my laptop, it correctly detects the charge rate and gives the laptop full power and charging. When plugging in a second device, the laptop also correctly indicates the “slow charger” warning that I’d expect.

One redeeming feature of this adapter is the availability of three USB-C + 1 USB-A ports instead of the usual 2 USB-C + 1 USB-A ports. In the event that you regularly charge two phones, a tablet, and an accessory simultaneously and those devices total less than 65W total, this could be a good option for you. In my case, I charge at most three devices and this is not something that I will require.

The only Con I can think of for the UGREEN 65W USB C Charger Block is that the output varies based on how many and which output is used. However, this is very typical of every multi-output port chargers I’ve ever used.

I downloaded and used Ampere to measure the charging capacity. When using a USB C cord plugged into my Galaxy S23 Ultra, I was getting shy of 5000 mAh and 3.8V.

The UGREEN 65W USB C Charger Block has become my favorite charger and is now in my travel case, replacing 2 charger blocks I used to carry. This UGREEN 65W USB C Charger Block gets 5 stars.
