I remember reading about the predecessor to this, the 563, seemed like a nice dock, but the 4k support was lacking, only one or two outputs supported 4k and not at 60hz. This new model changes that, finally you can have 2 or even 3 external 4k monitors @60hz, which 60hz is really the minimum you want to have. So with one cable I will now be able to have three 4k monitors, power and two external drives. That should even leave a port for charging my phone. I currently only have one 4k monitor, but it looked perfect when ran through this dock, zero difference as compared to directly connecting it to my laptop. If you want to have a clean 4k setup where you can just connect your laptop with one usb-c cable, this dock will do it. As far as the actual unit, materials and build quality are excellent – as expected from Anker. Overall highly recommended – great 4k dock.

it really nice to have more then one monitors to work with. this dock allows me to have total of 4. i don’t even use my laptop monitor anymore. the 2 usb ports are only 5gbps. at this price, it should be 10g. some ports do power as well. internet port is also 1g, but that’s normal.

I always have loved Anker products! This one not so much. Although visually the dock is appealing, and I didn’t have any issues with the audio or usb ports, just wasn’t for me. The power supply for this is just as big and heavier than the actual unit itself so not travel worthy. I didn’t think I’d mind having to have the “software” for the monitor, but it’s definitely an issue when you restart your computer and you don’t have access to your screens because the accessibility for the software doesn’t kick in until you start your computer for the first time and it’s passed the login screen. If this product had a smaller power supply, pass through, and no additional software, I’d be keeping it.

Runs fairly cool with plenty of attachments plugged in, along with (2) 32″ monitors. Software was easy to install on my Macbook and it appears well engineered. I’ll update this review if I run across any problems but it meets my expectations!

This product is basically unusable because of the significant lag produced when you try to connect more than one monitor. This product requires Display Link Manager to run more than one monitor and the delay is unbearably long. This is basically an expensive paperweight at this point. I’d rather just connect the monitors individually since there will be no lag. Worst money I’ve spent on an Anker product. Hugely disappointed.

This docking station worked great for a few hours but stopped working on my second monitor after that. I tried getting it to work again but couldn’t figure out how to . In addition, you have to download a driver for this docking station whereas others you don’t need to. I would avoid this one and look for other options that are more reliable.

Update 5/3/2024: I was able to work with Anker to complete an RMA. Entire process took a week. I’m hoping this new one goes the distance.
Update 4/17/2024: Broke inside of 6 months. Blue LED on power adapter now just blinks and hub no longer turns on.
Heads up that this device may not be plug and play for all machines. I had to install DisplayLink Manager software in order to get this working on my M1 MacBook. Official instructions on how to do this are available on Anker’s support website. My windows machines that I also use from time to time already came with DisplayLink preinstalled and worked with no intervention.
When everything necessary is installed it works as expected and is very convenient. I particularly enjoy having the extra network interface.
