It’s my first “pro” controller and I have no complaints. It looks and feels great. Definitely worth the price

I’ve owned several of each generation of these Fusion Pro controllers and aside from the bumpers deteriorating rather quickly due to lots of Rocket League (LB in particular is the usual culprit for my usage habits) these controllers have been relatively easy to pick up and make your own with easy on the fly button mapping to the paddles and now integrated grip buttons (that took some getting used to going from version 2 to version 3) but overall I’ve only encountered 3 total cases of stick drift that were too severe to be easily fixed by minor deadzone adjustments. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who gets a lot of use out of these controllers and while I don’t throw them or smack things with them, my gameplay use is pretty hard on them. I used to use Scuf and such but paying that much for each unit was ridiculous, and that’s when I first made the switch to PowerA (technically I’ve had other PowerA controllers in the past but that was quite a while back). I’ve eagerly awaited this next generation of the Fusion Pro and am pleasantly surprised to see the kinds of innovations that I was wanting this whole time. The Gamesir G7 was my first introduction to Hall Effect joystick accuracy, and man did I wish I had that in my PowerA Fusion Pro 3 lol anyways that and I started really enjoying using KontrolFreak thumbstick extension grips for really fine tuned control. Unfortunately the Gamesir G7 is just too small to be comfortable for long term use and the thumbstick grips won’t fit and their grip packs aren’t the best so far. The height changing thumbsticks is a very appealing change that I am quite interested to see firsthand how that will work out long term. Here’s hoping it’s the LB that goes first! Though I will say, really hoping they reinforced those bumpers… Either way, very excited to try this one out. I may end up doing several follow up edits to leave more accurate user reviews for anyone hoping to see more about this new offering from PowerA’s budget elite controller options!

The wireless controller is good. The app is absolutely trash.

This controller to me is the perfect xbox controller because it has a good price, RGB is on point I love it so much, has a charging dock and I don’t have to pay extra for it… I’m happy with the triggers just wish I didn’t have to press that in..wish it was a shorter stop on T1 but other than that freaking amazing but this is an early review and will update if anything changes or breaks down in the future.

Iโve been using it all day and Iโm still getting used to it.
Pros:
All buttons feel very solid and responsive.
Easy to use app and allows changes to controller.
Hall effect sticks feel great.
Back buttons instead of paddles.
Cons:
Back buttons arenโt places exactly how Iโd like, I wish all 4 were moved up slightly so I can use my middle fingers only for all 4. Kind of like how scuf does their Xbox buttons. Not a huge con at all as Iโm already used to it.
Back buttons are a little too loud for me, but again not a huge con.
Overall Iโd rate it at 88% out of 100โฆitโs really good especially for the price. Definitely a step in the right direction with the buttons over paddles. A new future feature I would like is an option to change the tension in the sticks.
Iโd recommend this, itโs definitely the best hall effect Xbox controller out there.

There is a lot to like with this controller but it’s not perfect. It has several good features, the adjustable thumb pads, the adjustable triggers, the programable back buttons all work well.
The controller has a good weight to it and doesn’t feel hollow like a cheap controller. It has a nice heft and solid feel to it that makes it feel good in your hands. The plastic seems like its good quality or at least as good as what you will find in most controllers. The smooth top versus the textured bottom can make you think it might feel a little off at first, but when you realize that it is set up like that for the RGB function, it starts making sense.
The RGB looks great, and is a nice gimmick. This looks like a normal controller until you power it on and it lights up. Very cool. The functionality of it is good to. Nice and responsive, and good smooth movements. I didn’t run into any shuddering and aside from steam wanting to remap it ( turn that off) it worked like a charm.
The stand has a good weight to it so it won’t move around and the magnet holds the controller in place well. It comes with a nice long cord and I really like that the stand has a slot for the dongle.
Speaking of, we are at the part that takes points off the controller. It has to be connected via dongle or usb. If there is a way to connect this natively to a pc.. I can’t find it. Which is a shame. I haven’t experienced any major issues with it using the dongle, but I hate having to find an open usb slot to use with said dongle. Make this hook up to windows natively and you have yourself a close to perfect controller for most players.
Over all, if it were not for the wired/usb connection I would put this between the standard Xbox controller and the elite, but since it does require the USB it is below the Elite. If you catch this on sale, I would say grab it but for the price point, you can easily just grab an Elite which you will probably like better.

ย It has good quality and an ergonomic shape. The bottom is made of silicone, providing a secure grip on both the hand and surface. Itโs soft, works very well, and includes a base for easy charging. The only drawback is that it may not be suitable for larger hands, but itโs a perfect option for average or smaller-sized hands.

Coming from a Power fusion pro 2 controller with rear paddles to this pro 4 with rear buttons will take some getting use to. I feel the buttons are a little too far apart to be able to use all 4 but that might just be me since I removed the 2 lower paddles on my pro 2. All buttons and joysticks feel amazing and the short throw triggers work great like all fusion pro controllers.
