the manual was informative and easy to understand setting bios is mostly common sense.
if you have a bad overclock just power off unplug and jump the CMOS pins to reset bios. works good with windows 11 pro

July 28, 2017: I’ve had this board running with 8 GTX 1070 cards for about a week with no problems. I made sure to enable mining mode in the BIOS and limit all the speeds to Gen 2. I haven’t been able to get the onboard video working. After many attempts to play with the settings for it, I finally disabled it. It’s not really required, anyway. The infinitesimal performance hit from plugging the monitor into one of the GPUs isn’t noticeable.

I’ll be adding 4 more cards shortly, probably RX 580 this time due to availability and price. If there are any problems, I’ll update the review. Right now, I’m loving the ability to run this many cards without having to use M.2 adapters or PCI splitters. I only wish this board was developed sooner!

Update Jan 18, 2018: I had no problems getting all 12 cards running in Windows 10 Pro. I used 8 NVIDIA and 4 AMD cards and had them all recognized, overclocked and stable. I did have to run multiple mining software instances, each designated to a group of the cards due to a seeming 10-GPU limit in Claymore Dual Miner. For the sake of simplicity, I now have this mobo running with 6 NVIDIA 1070 and 4 AMD RX 580 cards. All are mining ETH simultaneously through a single instance of Claymore.

As for the BIOS settings, all I did was enable mining mode and then adjust all the PCIe speeds to Gen 2 and set the auto-quiet mode for the CPU fan. The newest BIOS update seems to have helped with some video issues when entering the BIOS. Initial install of Windows is always done, by me, with a single card inserted directly into the board without a riser. It seems to work better, in my experience. After the driver is installed (and the Windows Auto Update on drivers is disabled) I’ll plug them all in via risers. Windows takes a long while to recognize each card and does so one at a time, flickering the screen over and over. Make sure you install the Blockchain driver for the AMD cards and not the mainstream one.

One last bit of advice: The fewer programs you install into Windows, the more stable it runs. Do not install the RGB control apps from the various manufacturers. They caused my performance to drop. Also, make sure you look up how to change Windows Update to follow the Business path rather than the regular consumer one. You can even delay “feature” updates for up to 6 months on Pro. It helps.

works good. I have 10 cards in one (8 – 1060, and 2 Vega 56) and 8 1080TI cards in the other. no faults. Manual isn’t great, and online documentation is poor – but if you know your way around PCs you can figure it out. You have to change onboard video to IGFX instead of auto if you want the display to stay with onboard. I matched my boards to a Pentium G4560 CPU because it is about the cheapest CPU with hyperthreading. I don’t think the cheapest Intel Celerons very well support 8 1080TI’s mining. My cousin tried that route and his CPU is at 80-90%, while my Pentium is at 50% load.

Mine was working OK but did not last a month.
Had 4 vega64 in it and about 3 weeks in we powered it down and upon turning it back on the bord mad a sizzling pop sound and then filled the room with smoke. The damage was behind the USB ports that did not have anything plugged in under the heat sink on the chips set just left of the processor.
I would go with the Asus 19gpu since the price is the same and they are a more well know reputable company and it also has 3 onbored 24 pin psu connections so you do not need to Jimmy psu’s together.
The hole atx mounting patten could also use a few standard holes to fully support the bored for pluging in the molex ext power with out deforming the mobo.

Recently purchased this for setting up my first mining rig (started as hobby). Had some issues when I tried to connect to my samsung monitor from the DVI-D port using (DVI-D to hdmi connector). But it works fine with a monitor I purchased from facebook . Didn’t look further into that issue on why it failed with my monitor. But after connecting 2 AMD GPU’s its running now without issues for 2 days. Using Hiveos for this setup

Great for mining. A few pointers:
-It is default to boot on legacy mode so you need to change the boot setting to UEFI to boot Linux distro. Windows will be fine although you probably should do the same
-Install the 1 slot graphic cards always. Otherwise it would not boot.

Had to return the motherboard as I could not get any video output. This motherboard only has DVI out for the onboard graphics, which seems like a really poor choice as I don’t know anyone who uses DVI. Tried troubleshooting the issue – the manufacturer customer service replied promptly to my email each time but I couldn’t get it to work despite their help. The Amazon listing also doesn’t clearly state that it can only take 7th gen Intel chips. So I wasted almost two months waiting for a replacement processor thanks to supply chain issues. I’ve built a lot of computers and never had as much trouble as I’ve had with this motherboard. Don’t bother, go look elsewhere for a mining motherboard. I guess it’s better that I dodged a bullet and used a different motherboard rather than stick with this poorly made one.

Mb works, great condition. Bios could use more options but, it’s pretty much set it and forget it.
