Purchased as a Christmas gift for my 6yo son. Shipped in a timely fashion, and arrived in good condition. Assembly instructions were mostly clear and easy to follow.
Used it on a night that was uncomfortably cold outside, but despite our limited time outside we were able to spot the moon easily. Magnification with the standard eye piece is pretty good, was able to make out great detail on the moons surface that is well beyond the detail one would get with the naked eye.
Following that we attempted to use the adapters that allow for much greater magnification. However, I was unable to spot the moon as it was uneasy to make the very fine adjustments needed on the tripod head because at that level of magnification very small adjustments to the tripod head create large changes in what is being observed through the eye piece. This is the reason for my 4 star, rather than 5 star review.
The only thing I was halfway disappointed with was the cell phone adapter. I was not able to make it work with my phone (Samsung Note 20). The phone was too heavy for the mount and the camera was unable to stay in the correct orientation in relation to the eye piece. May work much better with a smaller phone.
Overall a good starter telescope.

I recently purchased the ToyerBee Telescope (70mm Aperture, 15X-150X) and have been thrilled with its performance. As a beginner in astronomy, inspired by an astronomy class I took, this telescope has offered me a gateway to the wonders of the cosmos.
The 70mm aperture provides clear and crisp views, especially of the moon. The 20mm eyepiece is fantastic, offering a comfortable and immersive viewing experience, even for glasses wearers like me. While the 6mm eyepiece is included, I found it too small to look through comfortably, so I mainly stick to the 20mm.
The telescope’s tripod, while portable and easy to set up, does have stability issues when fully extended. Keeping it at a lower height helps maintain stability. The phone adapter and wireless remote are nice additions, but the camera stand holder struggles with newer, heavier smartphones, limiting its utility. I attempted to photograph the moon, but the image turned out blurry because the stand couldn’t support my phone’s weight properly.
I haven’t found much use for the Barlow lens and eyepiece extender yet, as the views with the 20mm eyepiece alone are already rewarding. This telescope is ideal for viewing the moon and some stars, providing a beautiful and straightforward introduction to astronomy.
Overall, the ToyerBee telescope has been a great first step into my exploration of the universe, and I look forward to upgrading as I dive deeper into this fascinating hobby.
