Inicialmente a memória não funcionou no notebook que eu tinha comprado para colocar, por causa de alguma imcompatibilidade com a voltagem, mas testei em outro notebook e funcionou muito bem, ai só vou trocas as memórias de um com outro. Recomendo!

I received this item completely fine, the only thing is it did not work for my laptop and the description said it would as well. I will say I had this item for 2 months before contacting the seller about the issue. It took me so long because I took it to two different IT people who said it won’t work. I will say the customer service with them was super quick and easy. Once I contacted them they got back with me within 2 days. They helped me out with my situation, and also refunded me for the item. They made the return such a breeze.

I replaced a Cooling fan in one of my three laptops. I figured while I was at it I might as well go ahead and add a bit more Ram. This 8gig DDR3 fit the bill perfect. I took out the meager 2gig card, and added this, bringing the total up to 12gigs of Ram. Now the system moves a great deal faster. And like the cooling fan, this sure beat letting Toshiba do it for me. A lot cheaper, a lot quicker, and works great. No special tools needed other than a small Philips head screw driver. Do a reboot, and pull up system properties, and there you go, 12gigs of Ram. Perfect. I highly recommend this if you want to boost your system Ram and know what type Ram you need.

I found installation to be rather easy for my first ever laptop upgrade. It took a couple tries only because this was the first time I was working with the laptop style retaining clips (nothing to do with the product). The laptop I upgraded had an easy access panel to the memory, and it took me under 15 minutes (didn’t have to remove the whole back of the laptop).
Dimensions in the specifications as of Feb 8 2024 were incorrect. They showed a length of 2.8in (71.12mm), and height 1.4in (35.56mm). The SODIMM standard, as well as the manufacturer’s specs for this model number, are length 67.6mm and height 30mm.
I measured the actual product I received with a tape measure, photos posted with the review. A tape measure is not as precise, but length of roughly 2 5/8 inches and height of 1 3/16 inches works out to the SODIMM standard within a couple mm.

Comment; I have not measured this Memory module impact on battery life (duration of charge), since I didn’t measure how it was with the lesser size RAM and different brand module that it replaced, but at least it hasn’t shortened battery life, so 5 starts there. This memory went into my wife’s entry level, Office and Google Classroom dedicated entry-level laptop, which it doesn’t have touch screen, so I’ll give it 5 starts to avoid giving wrong negative impression.
Installation is as easy as your device allows. Meaning, in my case I needed to remove the whole bottom cover, which is 15 small screws with a small Phillips screwdriver, the removing the installed memory module and inserting this one, taking care of preventing static discharge on your memory module and rest of computer parts, is really easy. in my case just pushing the side holders to free the first one, pulling it out carefully, inserting the new module (it only goes in one position) carefully, until the side holders click in place, and finally placing back and screwing the bottom cover with its screws. Some laptops have only a small cover to remove and reach for the memory location.
The module was immediately recognized by the BIOS, and by Windows 10 (64 bits) and I’m attaching a picture of the received memory module as well as a couple of screen pictures to show you.

My laptop i got sometime around Christmas (http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-17-3-Laptop-Computer/dp/B00G1SV1VM although i got mine from Best Buy) came with 4GBs of 1.35V RAM (the standard for most is 1.5V, though. it was most likely chosen for this laptop to save on battery power). I heard it’s not very wise to mix RAM sticks with different voltages so i went on a hunt for another fairly priced 1.35v stick. Found this bad boy after a good while of searching and it was pretty much the best deal i was gonna get, so i went for it.
The stick arrived close to a week later (i ordered on Friday, had to wait for the weekend to end for it to begin moving, and it came on Wednesday). I slapped it in, and all was ok from i could tell. Didn’t really notice a big reduction in the time it took for the laptop to boot up, but then again, i never cared enough to compare. Anyway, because of the APU’s reliance on dual channel memory, i saw some very nice increase in performance on most of my games.
Games where i struggled to get higher than 20 FPS on lower resolutions and settings before the upgrade, i was able to get 30 and, in some cases, above on higher settings. Crysis 2 for instance now steadies around the low 30s, sometimes dropping below into the 20s from what i played(at 1280×720 on “low” settings if you can even call it that. seriously, the game looks amazing). Which is pretty great for a laptop i paid $400 for. Tomb Raider now also steadies around the low 30s, sometimes dropping down into the mid 20s at 1280×720 on medium setiings. Borderlands 2 runs pretty well also. Though i can’t remember on what settings. exactly.
So…Yeah. It was worth it.

You can buy memory for a little bit less, or spend a lot more, but this piece was priced well and was an exact match for the memory in my Dell E7240. From experience I always like to have memory match when expanding, it can avoid strange problems if it does not. This is a brand I have used before and trust and it was an exact match so for me it was a simple decision to spend just a couple dollars more for a part I had 100% faith in. Also, this was sold by Amazon and I knew if there was an issue I would be dealing directly with them and that was one of the deciding factors.
Installed in just two or three minutes, booted up perfectly and the computer runs great…. A+ on this one!
