I run multiple virtual desktops and the 500gb M.2 SSD was not enough storage space to keep the number of desktops that I needed. Drive was small enough to put in to laptop, but laptop did not come with a hard drive caddy. Purchased Deal4Go SSD Hard Disk Drive Caddy Bracket with SATA HDD Cable (Short) and had no issues with install. Only have had the drive for a couple of months, so not sure about longevity, but works great as of right now. Will update as time goes on. A little expensive for what you get, but worth every cent in my opinion. Delivery was faster than expected. Because of the current state of delayed shipments, was expect in two weeks, but it arrived in three days. Nice surprise.

I ordered this to replace the secondary drive in my dad’s HP Envy all in one. This was the exact OEM drive that was in the Envy and it worked as expected. I was a little surprised in the packaging being simply a static sleeve covered in bubble wrap though but I assume these were bought as OEM drives from HP and that they never had commercial boxing. Whatever the case I like the drive.

7200 RPM drives are MUCH preferred over 5400 RPM.
I would have bought a 2TB if WD made one in 7200RPM.
32-bit windows can handle up to 2TB. And the price difference between a 1TB and 2TB is trivial. If they made one.

La única queja es que los discos que vende Amazon son las versiones oem, no vienen en caja ni nada, solo su bolsa y no lucen igual que en las imágenes, compré tanto el de 2.5 como uno de 3.5 y en ambos casos es lo mismo, ahora lo importante, el desempeño, en ambos casos es excelente, este aunque no alcanza las velocidades de la versión de 3.5 alcanza velocidades de unos 160Mb/s lo que es el doble de lo que alcanza mi toshiba canvio basic por poner un ejemplo, un gran disco duro pero si el tamaño no es un problema el WD black de 3.5 alcanza velocidades muy superiores de 250Mb/s.

This the drive I buy for my clients. The BLACK model carries a 5 year warranty. It is 7200rpm, which is 1/3 faster than the 5400rpm type that comes in most computers. It will improve performance. It is also designed to be used heavily.
A cautionary note: When you get this drive, check the manufactured date on it. It should be no older than a few months. Go to the Western Digital web page to register your 5 year warranty. If you find it has already been registered to someone else, you did not receive a new drive and you will not have a 5 year warranty.

When I received this product I used it in a laptop and it was awesome, It felt much faster than the hard drive that came with my laptop and has been a trooper. In this day I would probably recommend getting an SSD instead as the prices have fallen so much, but this thing is definitely awesome if you are specifically looking for a small hard drive, this one is great

Ordered this to replace the 500gb hard drive on my girlfriends ps4. Overall a nice upgrade, and it seems to slightly reduce load times as well. Her original hard drive went out in her ps4 slim with an error message to install a new update after failing the software test on bootup. Tried to install software from a USB, and while it detected the software, the install would never complete. This is a huge sign of a bad hard drive, so I bout this listing to replace it. The replacement works great, and if you don’t immediately have the funds for a solid state drive, I’d get this for the time being. Excellent hard drive and good performance.

Même utilisé de cette façon, le disque est rapide et stable, sans aucun souci de surchauffe. Le cache de 64MB et la vitesse de rotation de 7200 RPM permettent de gérer des fichiers lourds sans ralentissement, que ce soit pour du stockage ou des jeux.
