The hard drive formatted just fine and is working as it should. However, it is the loudest hard drive I have ever owned. I put it in the DVR of a surveillance system and I can hear the whine from the hard drive 20 feet away (and I have tinnitus). I am happy that is working, not so happy with the noise. I probably will eventually replace it with something that is hopefully quieter.

I purchased for use in my Dell 790 , it worked well and was easy to install , the computer still would not clear RAM though so I suspect something else had gone wrong , will keep as spare though as it has 500 Gb not like the original 250 Gb.

Perfect size, brand new, easy to install. Used it to create different separate folders for Documents, Programs, Downloads, — Windows OS is on SSD. Helps if hard drive fails – information is secure in new hard drives. Ordered one and then two more because of the low price for (old technology but new devices that work great!).

I’m not really looking for much in a hard drive, just that it works, and works well over time. I’ve purchased this recently, and I’ll update as it ages, but it booted up fine, seems to read/write pretty quickly, and can’t really complain about anything so far!

Still works well, writes and reads quickly, and has no real issues. Used it for a computer I built for my parents and they have no issues so far.

I got this to replace the hard drive in my surveillance system and it was no good when I got it. I even took it to a computer repair shop to see if they could format it for me and they said the same thing. The hard drive was completely unusable.
