Fast, fast, fast, and did I mention fast. I needed a card that would allow transfer of a 35MB RAW format picture from the camera’s buffer to the memory card within 1 second for star trails and time-lapse movies. This card handles that task with time to spare on my D7200.
Update, Sep 24, 2015:
I’ve been using this card for over 6 months now. I have shot and retrieved 1000’s of pictures with no problems. I still use it in my D7200 and transfer files to my MacBook Pro (2012) and iMac Retina (2014) without a hitch. I only format the card in the camera, not the computer, so the card registers in my computer as the D7200 when I insert the card. Downloading from the card to the computer is amazingly fast; a full card can transfer on the order of minutes.
I also own a PNY 128 GB elite (rated 90MB/s) that I bought for my D5300 (only has one card slot and I wanted lots of space). The PNY 128 was only a little more expensive than the SanDisk 64 yet holds twice as much, so I thought it was the better deal. That’s true for the D5300, but not so much for the more capable D7200).
The 7200 buffer allows about 16 RAW frames at 6 frames/second. After the buffer fills, the rate slows as it is now writing to the slower SD memory card. With the Extreme Pro it slows to about 3-4 frames/second, but the PNY drops to less than 2. PNY is not a bad card, just not quite as fast. If you don’t need the speed, the PNY would be a fine option.
If you’re looking for speed and reliability, try the SanDisk Extreme PRO. I’m sure glad I did.

I ordered this with frustration free packaging and works great. Got the great speeds with my USB 3.0 reader. For those who are wondering about “fake” cards. Long as you get it directly from Amazon you will be fine. Mine came in a small cardboard envelope with the usual SanDisk and Amazon logos with a sticker about the product. I prefer the frustration free packaging as who wants to deal with PITA plastic container for a small item? I don’t.
I got this for my Canon 7D Mark II which works great out of the package. However, it was formatted in exFAT by the factory so the card was not readable on my Linux Mint 17.1 workstation. No big deal as I did some test shots with the card. I just open up Gparted and formatted it as regular FAT32. Works fine as I got full 64 gig space out of it. Be aware that if you use your camera for HD videos check to see if it’ll do file spanning as there is a hard limit of 4gig file size when formatted in FAT32. Not an issue for me as I use my Canon primarily for pictures anyway. exFAT doesn’t have this problem and I know I can install additional packages to make it work in Linux but wanted to use native solution so I use FAT32 for now.
SanDisk is the brand I trust for storage cards. I even got the 32gig SanDisk CF Professional card for the camera. Over the years out of so many cards I’ve had from SanDisk not one failed on me. I take good care of the cards not let it abused despite the packaging says it’s almost indestructible.
My Canon 7D Mark II got dual card slots so anything important like a wedding I’ll use the dual copy mode in case out of a fluke a card should fail. So far even at several weddings all worked fine.

Installed onto my Blackberry Priv showed up right away & a couple of clicks ready to use. Slight problem with my hubby’s Blackberry Z30 as he didn’t have MicrosoftexFAT for Blackberry installed which comes as an app but sorted that out by downloading it from Google Play store & good to use. So overall easy install & lots of memory, would definitely recommend.

Very Happy with this purchase. I have never ever used an extreme or extreme pro Sandisk before, or any other pro style memory card. I only used the basic because the camera I had, which is very old, wasn’t of high quality and the work I was doing was very amateur stuff for my own hobby .
Now that I have purchased a Canon 70D, and entering into a business with a friend, I felt I should put in the best effort for the highest of equipment for it along with the accessories. Especially when my work will depend on it.
I bought two of these instead of a single 128gb. I felt it would be better if by chance I misplace on or if one goes bad then I have a backup, or if one fills up then I have an extra empty one on hand. Also having two helps for when one fills up I can put one into my laptop and pull off the pictures/videos and not have to stop using my camera, because I can put the other one in.
The card works flawlessly. Again the cards I use in the past were basic so when I used this one, it was outstanding quality. Everything loaded quickly and when I was opening pictures directly from the card into Photoshop, there was no delay in the load and I had no funny issues with it saving or editing like I would have with my older basic memory cards. Very Very happy with this purchase, and it came on time.

I have an older laptop, first Gen i7. I used it to run SolidWorks, office suite, internet about 5 years ago till about 2 years ago. I had windows 7 and it was doing ok but upgraded to windows 10, not by choice. I was not using it daily at the time but wow, it took 2 days to start up once after an update. I retired it but never replaced it, just used my work desktop to do what I needed to and occasionally used my wife’s laptop, which is a chore because she wants me to ask for permission and is anal about settings or programs! (whatever) Before my engineering days, I was in IT, got my A+ certification (NT) and went to work while trying to go to school. Long story short – I purchased this SolidState Hard Drive to put in my old retired laptop and couldn’t be happier! I ditched the windows route and put Linux mint on here. this SOB blazes facebook like a boss! takes 16 seconds to boot up. I wish I could use the software to monitor the health of my drive but SanDisk offers NO support for Linux and there isn’t a Wine out for Mint edition yet. This is my first Linux install in ten years or more, so I don’t know If I am going to keep it or not. Its so minimal and fast, the hard drive has no reason to kill itself! In the even this pc or the HDD or SSD (lol caught my self) dies after my one year SanDisk warranty expires, I will probably put 3 or so bullets in it! I don’t game but I might purchase AutoCad to install on here. So its not in vain…
