I initially wanted a Rog Strix PSU to match my other components but for whatever reason the price of that unit kept changing dramatically so I priced this item to compare since they were basically identical other than brand. While the Thermaltake was my second choice I’m glad I wound up with it, I trust the brand and like all Thermaltakes I’ve had before it runs perfectly. Love the white wrapped cables. It looks great in my build and I’ll never miss those Rog stickers on the side while I’m playing MY games, rather than playing their pricing games. Thank you Thermaltake for honest and reliable pricing and good quality!

As a Electronic and Computer Technician, i have build systems for the past 30 years and tried many
brands of power supplies. Thermaltake power supplies, hand down have been the best. Out of the past 200ish builds, ive never had 1 fail before their warranty. My last fail at 14 years with a 10year warranty on my personal machine. As an Electronic tech, they use some very good parts

Performance is 10/10. The size is as expected for a standard 850 watt PSU. Connecting everything was simple and easy! Cables were all long enough. Great price for a 859 watt PSU plus the color is stunning.

There is “Thermaltake” and “Thermalake” so be careful which you want.

Thermaltake (this unit) is a quality white power supply. Gold certified and what they call “Ultra Quite”. Personally I don’t find any power supply as one with excessive noise, when running correctly, with everything else going on in the computer. We take noise readings of each computer we build and have found very little difference amongst the various power supplies and wattage ratings. Basically it is just another fan.

Anyway, this is a good quality power supply that I would classify as mid-range. With the new Graphic Cards (4090, etc) you have to watch because they all seem to be demanding more wattage. From what I can gather the low point now is 850 watt with several 4090’s listing 1200 watt as necessary. Do your research and remember it is always best to go a little higher in wattage to be safe.

850 w with 3 pcie power cables included. Runs very quiet and stable even when stress testing by build. The white cables are perfect for my build. Cables snap into place and work without issue. Noise is so low, I have not tried the extra quiet settings yet.

I fully believe that the need for a premium power supply is a marketing hoax conjured up by the likes of Corsair and others. Kind of like what Monster Cable did for home theatre. With that being said, PSUs from lesser-known brand looks dodgy and risky.

So I try to find something reliable without overspending on a particular brand. And modular power supplies are the way to go to avoid a cable mess.

The Thermaltake PSU checks all the boxes. Nice packaging. Modular. Plenty of spare cables for expansion. Good price. Comes in white to match the rest of the build, even though I never see it because it’s mounted in the back.
