I had previously built a PC back in 2013 with a case of a similar price, and this case is better in every conceivable way.
– The materials are top notch, no sharp metal edges or anything. Very premium.
– It seems like they actually really thought about where cables would be going and designed the case around that, resulting in a very intuitive building experience.
– I like the rubber gaskets around where the power cables come through, which I’ve seen other cases don’t have.
– Comes with screws and zipties, though if you want to go hard in the paint of cable management you should buy more zipties.
– A lot of options for fan placement, I went just with the standard 2 120mm in front and 1 in the back (though I’d say the optimal setup would be 2 140mm fans in front, 1 120mm on the back and 1 120mm on the top). Never tried the fans that came with the case tbh, so can’t tell you what they’re like.
– I have a 1650 super and it fits easily
– The cat did not static shock the system
If you like the simple look of the case, I say buy it. You will have no problems at all. I don’t see any reason why you would spend any more money on a case.

This is just really a stupendous MATX case that has every feature i’ve been searching forever for and have never found till now. For some reason, it’s nearly impossible to find every feature I want in a MATX case… I can find them all in bigger cases, but not MATX… I’ve found MATX cases that have some, but not all the features… until now… here’s what this case features that I have always sought but couldn’t find until the NR400 was released:
1) Budget priced (under $100)… check
2) Good Cable Management… check
3) Unobstructed good airflow… check
4) A PSU shroud/basement… check
5) A tempered glass window, not acrylic… check
6) Mounting points for 2.5″, 3.5″ and a single 5.25″ drive… check
I can’t think of (or I haven’t found) a single MATX case that had all 6 of those things in one case till the NR400 came out. The last one was also important to me, as yes, I’m one of those people who still use an Optical Drive, as I have a large collection of family photos on DVD, old games on DVD I still like to load up from time to time, and I like to do some DVD burning of various projects… for those that don’t need an optical drive, I totally understand, but there are tons of nice MATX cases to choose from that don’t have an ODD bay, and so few with a bay that have other nice modern features. Anyways, i’m rambling… on with the review…
The build quality is really nice for $59… I love everything about this case… if there are any complaints about quality, i’d give a slight mention to the back panel of the case being a tad flimsy, but this is more due to its extreme perforations for airflow and the lack of an I/O shield being there for support when you take it out of the box… once your build is complete, this stiffens up. The only other thing I don’t like about the quality is the bottom PSU intake filter… it’s kinda lame… just a cut plastic sheet that bends into place… i would have preferred something a little more “pull-out, push-in” like on other cases, but at $59, if this is the only grumble, it’s forgivable and not enough to deduct a star.
Airflow on this case is just awesome… there are far too many cases with terrible airflow… solid front panels or perforated panels that are far more metal than air (I’m looking at you MasterBox Q300L) that turn your PC into an oven. The NR400 has none of those problems… as with any case, I immediately tossed-out the stock fans and replaced them with three upHere 120mm fans… two up-front as intakes and one in the rear for exhaust… although there’s nothing wrong with this setup, I wanted more and realized I could have more… so I upgraded my two front fans from a pair of 120mm fans to a pair of 140mm fans (also upHere). This really kicked up the airflow quite a bit (and is what you see in my pictures… the pair of 140mm fans up-front). This is a Haswell Core i7-4790 build using only air cooling (A CM Hyper 212 Black Edition), and at idle, i’m running 25-27 Celsius… under load in games, my CPU is usually in the mid 40s to low 50s tops. My GPU (a GTX 1660Ti) is anywhere from low 50s to about 62 tops, depending on the game and what’s going on. This case just stays really cool with air cooling alone.
Other features… cable management is easy with this case… it’s easy to keep the viewable front of the case clean, as there’s plenty of storage are in the back to hide your cables… there’s four dedicated 2.5″ bays, which have a unique “rubber gasket and insertable pin” arrangement to attach your SSDs to. Simply screw in four pins (included with the case) to the bottom of your SSD, and push into the gasket… it’s held on with friction, stays in place, but easy to remove (see pics). Also, there’s a removable and repositionable 3.5″ bay under the PSU shroud… the bigger NR600, it’s riveted in place, but on the NR400 you can move it or remove it, it’s up to you. As previously mentioned, there is a single 5.25″ bay which is rare in a case like this, and I’m happy to have it in a case this nice. If you don’t want/need the bay, it is also removable to clean up your build.
I really love this case… as it just came out in 2019, it was not available the last time I upgraded my case for this build. I did have my system in a Fractal Design Focus G Mini (another case I really liked, but not as perfect as this one)… however, I liked the features in this case so much, I went ahead and got it to switch my parts over to this case… it’s that awesome, and i’m glad I did it. This is really a great case for the price. 5-Stars!

Great MicroATX case at a great price, I’ve had it a year and still very happy with it. This is an ideal case if you want great airflow in a compact case at a reasonable price.
– Good quality, everything fits together well, tight tolerances, no weird gaps, didn’t notice any sharp edges.
– Attractive, minimalist design. Looks at home as a gamer PC or office PC.
– Pretty compact for a MicroATX (many others I looked at were wider, taller, or both).
– Great airflow, nice mesh design acts as a filter, easy to wipe off with a soft cloth.
– Plenty of room for fans. I’ve outfitted mine with 2 140mm intake fans up front, 1 120mm exhaust in back, and a single 140mm and 120mm on a top-mounted AIO.
– Intel 12600K CPU sees 64°C max temp with a slight OC to 5.1GHz, all power limits disabled, in Prime 95 Small FFTs for over 30-minutes.
– Asus nVidia RTX 3070 Strix GPU, a 2.9-slot wide card, stays in the mid-60s range while gaming.
– 5.25″ bay, nice for those who can use it. I don’t have an ODD, but I wanted a case with the bay to put a sensor panel.
There are no holes on top of the PSU basement, but a nearly 3-slot GPU can breathe just fine in the case. A 4-slot GPU might have a more difficult time with airflow. The top has room for 2 140mm fans. The case officially supports a 240mm AIO up top. I put a 280mm AIO there (not officially supported), but had to use a 120mm fan on one side to clear the motherboard VRM. Using the 5.25″ bay will prevent use of a top-mounted AIO or a 2nd case fan up top. I got around that limitation by 3D printing a custom shallow-mount bracket for my sensor panel display. Up to a 280mm AIO can also fit up front, but may prevent orienting the tubes in the preferred tubes-down orientation. 360mm AIO up front is not officially supported, but there’s enough room and I’ve seen people pull it off with minor modding, but that would require giving up the 5.25″ bay.
It comes with a single 120mm exhaust fan. I didn’t use this fan so I can’t attest to how well it works.
Only real drawback I can think of for this case, is it’s so open, you can hear all the fans quite well. If you use noisy fans, you will hear them. Choose fans wisely, if you care about noise. Nothing specific to this case, it’s the nature of open mesh-style cases.

Fue la mejor opción almacenamiento-precio que encontré, además de que se agradece enormemente que tenga espacio para unidades ópticas, algo muy difícil de conseguir hoy en día.
El diseño pudiera parecer simple, pero ya colocado en su lugar, le da un aspecto minimalista y elegante
Por default trae espacio para 4 discos duros de 3.5″, aunque pude colocar un quinto disco duro (al hacer esto se debe manipular con cuidado el gabinete).
El espacio para manipular los cables está genial, te permite hacer una instalación limpia.
El panel frontal tiene un diseño que oculta una parte de los ventiladores de 120mm; no es algo que afecto o incomode, pero lo menciono para los consumidores muy detallistas. La malla no impide disfrutar de los ventiladores led.

Si piensas hacer tu primer armado en este gabinete o simplemente buscas uno donde hacer algo con Micro ATX sin gastar bastante dinero el NR400 es un candidato a considerar. El cooler master NR400 brilla de bastantes formas aunque también tiene sus pequeños detalles:
Sos pros serían:
1. El tamaño del mismo es excelente, ya que no roba espacio si lo colocas sobre la mesa junto al resto de tus periféricos.
2. El flujo de aire debo decir que me ha sorprendido, ya que al momento de exigir la computadora en renderizados largos de video no superan los 78°C los componentes, y eso teniendo encuenta que solo poseo dos ventiladores frontales de 120mm[como puede verse en las fotos]. En gaming el nivel de temperatura es menor, solo en ARK llega hasta 75°C la GPU.
3. Los orificios para pasar cables son suficientes, hay bastantes opciones para pasarlos [tanto del audio, ventis, los SATA y porqué no la de la GPU], las gomas frontales ayudan en la estética del gabinete; incluye precintos para el manejo de los mismos.
4. El mecanismo para montar discos de 2.5” es bastante sencillo de entender y, sobretodo, estético, ya que al solo usar los tornillos con sus gomitas permite que la instalación sea rápida. Puedes añadir hasta 4 discos de 2.5” y 3 de 3.5”.
5. Hay un espacio entre el borde de la MOBO y la salida de aire superior que permitiria acomodar un AIO de hasta 240mm, claro, hay que quitar la bahía de discos para eso, pero tan solo con que hayan pensado en el espacio de los radiadores es bastante buen detalle [igual pasa lo mismo con el frente, pero habría que cuidar la pocisión de la jaula de discos duros de 3.5”].
6. Los materiales se sienten de calidad: las rejillas para las tarjetas PCIE son remobibles, cada uno tiene su tornillo, no son de esas que si las despegas queda un hoyo todo feo que cubrir; el vidrio templado y su mecanismo para abrirlo es perfecto, ya que es deslizante, al igual que el de la tapa de los cables.
Sus contras, a mi parecer, serían bastante específicos:
1. Pueden ver en la foto, el tamaño es justo si queremos añadir algun controlador de ventiladores, lo cual inluirá en el acomodo de los cables. Me costó bastante el encontrar una forma estética de ordenarlos. Si llegases a tener una fuente con cables planos creo que facilitaría mas el armado, ya que con los cables de la fuente pylon quedan bastante justos al cerrar la tapa.
2. La insonoridad del gabinete no es la mejor, si puedes llegar a escuchar los ventiladores, pero en cambio tienes buen flujo de aire.
3. En lo estético ODIO que no esté en México la versión MicroATX sin el ODD, yo lo quité por estética, ya que no lo veo necesario mas que para tener espacio para acomodar un disco más… Si no usas la bahía ODD queda ese horrible cuadrado en la parte de arriba que arruina un poco esa estética limpia y sobria que ofrece el gabinete. Añado foto de lo que me refiero-
4. Los filtros de polvo no son los mejores: el que incluye en la parte superior es bueno, aunque ya con 8 meses de tenerlo los imanes se han despegado, el de la parte de abajo para la fuente de poder es asqueroso, no tiene ni imanes, recomiendo comprar uno que si los tenga para reemplazarlo.
CONCLUSIONES
Es un buen gabinete compacto para armados Micro ATX con todas las consideraciones que ésto conlleva. Por el precio compite bastante y podría superar a otros en el mismo rango como el Bambú de Munfrost aunque con este perdería en estética. Por el flujo de aire no me preocuparía, la verdad es un gabinete bastante noble en esos aspectos, y si va a ser tu primer armado de PC, como lo fue en mi caso, la experiencia de ensamble es realmente placentera.

Nada complicado. Montaje fácil y espacioso para armar una buena máquina. La ventilación es excelente. Gran valor por tu dinero definitivamente. Recomiendo ampliamente un radiador de 280 y 4 ventiladores arctic p14 para este case.
