If your hunting for the blu-ray player that can burn 4ks, this is the one. Be prepared for research, though. It was a heck of a hassle, but I was able to do it with this one. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, do your research first.

Il lit tous les formats connus de DVD et BR sans aucun problèmes et est donc prêt pour l’avenir (disques BR triple et quadruple layer jusqu’à 128 Go).
Je l’ai testé avec le logiciel Opti Control 1.70 : c’est un lecteur C.A.V et en moyenne il tourne à 60% de la vitesse annoncée, ce qui est très correct.
C’est à ce jour pour moi le meilleur rapport qualité / prix du marché de la lecture optique sur P.C
Je n’ai aucun problème pour ripper depuis ce lecteur mes BR commerciaux D.L (double face) en format MKV vers mon HDD pour ensuite les diffuser ensuite en lecture sur mon réseau local Ethernet (je recommande pour le ripping l’utilisation du logiciel freeware Handbrake).
A titre d’exemple et avec un processeur Intel 4770K à 3.9 Mhz (sur 8 threads à 100%), il faut environ 2H25 (en simple passe et en grande qualité) pour ripper un film BR-DL de 50 Go 1080p + pistes audio DTS-HD (avec en outre le freeware en résidant DVBFab Passkey Lite) avec 21 fps en moyenne.

Ich hatte vorher ein doppelt so teures externes Slim-Laufwerk versucht. Ein Geruckel und Gezuckel mit massenweise Lesefehler. Ging noch am selben Tag zurück. Bei dem 16D1HT funktioniert alles gediegen, leise, schnell und ohne Lesefehler oder Ähnliches. Das perfekte Laufwerk einfach für alles.

Premesso che non ho più seguito informatica per dieci anni e quindi ignoravo molte cose…
Non sapevo la differenza tra H e HT, stavo per spendere 40euro in più per l’HT quando invece ho scelto questo modello è proprio HT, in effetti l’H non esiste sul sito asus (inserzione diciamo poco precisa).
Io ho windows7 e me lo ha riconosciuto subito.
Avevo dei dvd recenti che il vecchio masterizzatore non mi riconosceva e non potevo masterizzarli, questo lo fa.
Non conoscevo le sigle BD ecc. pensavo che ci fosse solo, come capacità, BD, BDL, BDXL… ebbene non trovavo alcun masterizzatore con scritto che fosse compatibile coi blu ray XL e mi son messo il cuore in pace. Ho acquistato questo. Guardando bene poi su internet i BD-XL ce ne sono due tipi: TL 100GB e QL 128GB, con grande sorpresa in teoria dovrebbe scrivere (e leggere) questi due (che sono appunto XL) però non ho provato.
Premesso che io lo utilizzo solo per memorizzare dati di backup e quindi non lo provo come lettore di film posso dire che sono soddisfatto per il prezzo che ho pagato.

Aggiornamento: ho iniziato ad usare i supporti blu ray, in particolare i 50GB (non ho ancora provato i 25) usando windows per masterizzare si bloccava dopo un pò finchè non ho scoperto che c’era in dotazione dimenticato nella scatola il CD con vari programmi, io per i dati ho installato Power2go. Cautelativamente ho fatto una prova a 4x sui dischi sottomarca dichiarati 6x (visto che usando windows come masterizzatore avevo già bruciato 3supporti) e funziona alla grande, circa 48′ impiegati. Probabimente riuscirei anche a 6x (i dischi sono limitati a 6x), non ho ancora provato.
Non posso che essere soddisfatto per quello che l’ho pagato fa tutto quello di cui ho bisogno!
