Received product quickly. It was exactly as advertised. Very well packaged due to fragility. I was impressed with this seller. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again.

Arrived on time and in great condition, I love this technology, even as it is slowly disappearing, I have used it after finding out the hard way, and 300 disc later, that gum-label’s, no matter who the manufacture, in time will slowly deteriorate the label side and corrupt the data. Imagine my surprise as I pulled out disc burn two or three years ago, labeled, only to place them into the player and having reading errors or not able to read the disc at all.
Also, over time, the stick on labels have a tendency to slightly pull the outer edges upward ever so slightly, but enough for the laser to miss read the disc. It’s like shrink wrap that left on an twelve inch album too long (dating myself) and it will continue to shrink, causing a warp in the album. These stick labels contract an pull, giving the disc a concave effect. Also, the light scribe complaint that it burns the information too light, I have found that you can place the disc into the burner again, restart as if it’s the first time and burn it again, This produces a very dark and detailed etched disc.

I got this as the final piece to fully OEM restore a 2006 Compaq Presario WM series machine, before they sold to HP. I got it with a fully intact XP RP, so I installed XP raw, updated it to Win 7 (2020), but the old IDE LS drive was stolen/replaced by the bad install dude, messed up the install, and the owner sold it to me, intact. Got this SATA LS drive, reinstalled Nero 10 and the LightScribe software-BAM!!
Just wish this company had MORE at ten dollars each, brand new-I would have gotten FOUR more, but this was the last one-at that price-yeah, I’ll buy from these guys again!!! It was packed like a mirror, for shipping-very nice!

you can’t find a driver to make it work as a lightscribe device, and no support from this vendor!
Deborah Nichols –
I bought it to replace my original one but the plug in’s are different even though I put in the spic’s from my old one. I am keeping it and will try to find a way to use it but I am not happy

I ordered this to replace one that died in my computer. It went right in and after it downloaded a few changes in the driver it has worked just fine. I run a Win 7 Pro computer.
