ASUS ROG Strix Scope RX Gaming Keyboard

Let’s be blunt.

The software for almost all brands of mice and keyboards these days, sucks. The ASUS solution is a little aggressive on the self promotion, integration with your gaming, and feels too influenced by the marketing department. But works with little fuss. The RGB is a bit much for my taste, and I wish this trend would die. But it is easily toned down or customized for your raving & epileptic inducing desires.

The keyboard itself, is surprisingly robust for the money. I have some major brand boards that cost 3-5 times more that feel junky in comparison. The keys are veryyy sensitive, and do partial press detection / outright full mash hammer mode. The clicking is present, but not annoyingly so, and you can type in a way to minimize it too.

My only complaint is a lack of a wrist rest, and that’s being knit picky as most of the keyboards that do include them, they become an annoyance or hinderance to your total space.

All in all, I’m very happy and have switched to this being my main keyboard. I had an RMA pending for a much more expensive one, and don’t even want to switch back to it yet.

This is a very well made keyboard, from the kick stands to the lighting. It’s a bit bulky, but not too big by any means. Typing feels great, the keys themselves feel nice on your fingers and it’s just a very smooth and pleasant experience. The lighting is good, very customizable, nice and vibrant. I just wish you could change the color for individual keys, that’s my only complaint.

As a discerning consumer of a well-known keyboard brand, I find myself compelled to explore alternative options due to the absence of compelling offerings in their current product lineup. I am pleased to report that my exploration has been fruitful. Not only does the alternative keyboard I have discovered possess an aesthetically pleasing design, but it also exhibits exceptional quality. I regret not having explored this brand sooner.

there’s a ton of things you can do as far as lighting on this keyboard it plays well in shooters, my only issue is that it feels overly sensitive sometimes but that could just be me mainly because i upgraded from a laptop to a desktop. also if you’re a parent/ family member buying this as a holiday gift for a kid or teen and they arent the biggest i would consider getting a smaller keyboard, 75% or 80% seems more fair for a kid.

I will start of by saying I have never before owned a gaming keyboard, so my review comes from a guy using the stock keyboard with a computer to this.

It is a little loud if you don’t have headphones on, but it’s not very loud. The keys sit higher then a regular keyboard does. That being said, after a little bit of typing I am now perfectly used to the height. The individual programmable keys is amazing and not just rgb but the keys themselves can be reprogrammed to basically what ever you want.

It has a sturdy feel without being crazy heavy, I could almost take it with me as an extension for my laptop. The pass through USB built into the keyboard is awesome and I haven’t had any issues with it.

If you are a gamer but know very little about pc peripherals, this has a lower cost then many of the competitor brands of similar design and function. You can’t go wrong.

Had several mechanical keyboards from Corsair. None of them held up over time or came with the standard features at a similar price as this one! Asus knocked it out of the park with this phenomenal keyboard. The keys are have a slight sound to them but go down very easily with just a hair of tension. It’s a pleasure to push in the keys. The keyboard like many other gaming keyboards is fully RGB customizable. This keyboard is also completely waterproof! I didn’t know until I opened the box but the keyboard has an aluminum backboard to it which is very elegant and gives the keyboard a premium feel. The keys are all red mx keys. The sound keys, boss key, and play pause skip is all very useful being in the F5-12 spots. As a gamer/business professional I never used those keys anyway. Had several keyboards in my many years of gaming. Not one was nearly as nice as this. Asus should be asking over $200 for this keyboard. I highly recommend it.

Resistente, duradero y ese RGB qué es demasiado hace de este producto excelente. Yo no lo usaré ya que fue un regalo porque en lo personal no soporto el ruido de una tecla azul, pero para la persona que lo usa si le gusta esa retroalimentacion al tocarlo y escucharlo.
Me sorprendió su RGB que es sorprendente y más que dará el doble que un teclado normal y eso de Rog.
Sin duda un buen teclado que te durará toda la vida.
