This USB-C Hub with the fancy HDMI, Ethernet, and a bunch of USB ports is exactly what my laptop needed. It might sound a bit technical, but trust me, it’s way cooler than it sounds.
First off, it looks sleek. It sits nicely next to my laptop and doesn’t scream “look at all my wires!” But the best part is how much easier it makes my life. Need to connect a second monitor for that big presentation? Bam, HDMI port. Plus, there are a bunch of USB ports for my external drive, printer, you name it. No more switching dongles every five minutes – this thing has it all.
This little hub basically cleaned up my whole desk setup. No more tangled mess of wires, just one neat little box that does everything I need. It’s also surprisingly light, so I can easily toss it in my bag if I need to work from a coffee shop or something.
Honestly, this hub is a lifesaver. If your someone who needs a little extra oomph for their laptop, this thing is definitely worth checking out.

This is a full-sized UB C Hub with plenty of features and I’m sure it will survive a lot of use. The construction is solid, the aluminium shell is a continuous extrusion without any seams, so it’s really sturdy and won’t be crushed easily, plus it’s tactile to use due to the rounded sides. It’s designed to be a workhorse.
It’s 11cm x 5cm x 1.7 cm, and surprisingly light, despite its tough construction ( 81.65 grams). The cable is 20cm long, which is enough for it to lay flat on a desk, even when used with a tablet where the ports can be higher up on the device.
I like the blue-grey colour, but as with many ports, the labels are more or less illegible, they might show more clearly on the silver version. I suppose this isn’t a major issue with this dock, since all three USB A ports are 5Gbps USB-A 3.1 and are blue, so I really only have to remember that the USB C port only does charging. The matching USB C connector is also aluminium.
It doesn’t have the absolute best specs, but for practical use it’s perfect. The 30Hz limitation at 4K doesn’t really matter to me, and likely won’t for most people, and at lower resolutions, you get higher refresh rates, which is fine for my use case, and picture quality and stability have been great.
I haven’t used the humble but practical VGA port yet, but it might come in handy, especially for connecting an older monitor I already have to use as a second screen.
All the other ports have worked reliably and up to spec, including charging. The USB C Port is only for data, not charging, but my life doesn’t revolve around the latest technology. I have even used this with devices that don’t have USB C ports, it works fine with USB A ports as well, using a simple adapter (pictured). Of course, the video out ports do not work with USB A, but the USB A ports and the card readers work fine.
This has been a solid, reliable, versatile hub, and the tough build construction is excellent. It’s a reliable tool.
My only complaint is the more or less illegible labels, but that seems to be a trend!
