This cord is so much more than I was initially looking for! The outlets going in different directions help with wider plugins and the USB plugin option is awesome. No more plugging in a bulky block/cube. The cord length is also a huge plus. The struggle of a 3 ft power strip is no longer here in our home.

Note: Surge protecters are a must if you live in areas with frequent thunderstorms. Whole house surge protectors usually do not protect all electrical equipment. Ideally, you should use surge protectors for all electrical equipment that you want to protect. Redundancy is good. I learned this the hard way.

I bought this for 1) the longer cord length, and 2) to accommodate the fat brick-type plugs for so many devices these days. So many messy looking cords to manage! I had 8 items to plug in, but only 7 would fit due to the fat plugs and the proximity of a number of the outlets. Still, it’s a much better solution than the shorter cord and small strip I had before, far less of the tangled cord look. Not perfect, but much, much better.
