I’m using this in my Bambu X1C and it works well enough. It clogs much more often than regular PLA, I found that I can only get a successful print if I use the TPU settings on my printer, and it has many more imperfections than regular PLA when printing. Also I have to not use the AMS… it does not like the AMS at all.
However, it’s flexible PLA. How cool is that? It totally works as advertised.

Took me a few tries to get things dialed in but this filament is amazing once setting are right. The flexible prints are so versatile and unique – it fills a niche that my other filaments, PLA, SILK, PETG just can’t do. I had to slow things way down to get goo results. – 30 to 40 mm/sec depending on the print. I keep the flow at 8 to 12 mm3/sec (although I have had a few prints work at up to 15 mm3/sec). I’m just now getting ready to try TPU, but I the bar has now been set pretty high for results with the flexible PLA – and the super flexibility that TPU may not even be able to achieve.

I don’t know why but I decided to print the back of a Batman Cowl for my first print with this material on my AnyCubic Kobra Max with a .8mm end at 220 C. It started out a bit rough but I slowed down the printer 50% and it looked much better. I had issues using TPU and I expected the same results. I was wrong. It. Printed more like PLA than TPU and completed with minor errors. It is flexible and feels like rubber. I plan on buying this material again.

I liked the Flashforge flexible yellow but Flashforge flexible black is terrible. Yellow flexible PLA printed with standard PLA printer setup. Black needs to be printed 25 degrees C hotter than yellow, half the speed of yellow, and black jams the print head at least 50% of the time. The only reason I could consider buying another spool of black is the hope that I received a defective spool and the next one will be better. I also need to put black in a dryer, but yellow worked reliably without drying. Both are printed on a Creality Ender 3 V3. Black filament is 1.70 mm diameter which is out of tolerance. Yellow is 1.75 mm diameter with some sections that are as much as 1.80 mm (also out of tolerance, but it works).

Flashforge PLA Flexible 3D Printer Filament
The Flashforge filament came in a sturdy cardboard box on a plastic spool. The filament is enclosed in a thick plastic bag which has had all the air vacuumed out and with a pack of silica gel to make sure no moisture gets into the filament.
When trying a new filament or even sometimes just another colour of filament, I often expect to have to tweak my settings a bit. So with the first print of the Flashforge Flexible PLA filament, I wasn’t necessarily expecting perfect results, however, from the start of the first layer, the print went down well.
I set 220℃ for the nozzle, 60℃ for the bed, I had seen a recommendation of 40mm/s print speed, which I used. I wanted a quick test piece so printed the test pieces with a layer height of 0.28mm with a first layer of 0.2mm. The cooling fan was off for the first four layers then 100% for the remainder of the print. The printer I used has a direct feed extruder, a coated glass bed and an all metal Hotend with a 0.4mm nozzle. I usually clean the print bed before a new print. I then redress it by putting on a thin layer of Elmer’s glue stick. This leaves a very thin layer of the glue which is a good surface to hold the prints, the print stayed in place well and was easy to remove when the bed had cooled.
You will see from the photos that the finish is good, very even and quite glossy. The layer adhesion is very good there was no stringing and the item feels quite strong. As far as flexibility, the finished item is just a bit less flexible than TPU (Shore hardness of 95A). I dried the filament for about three hours as recommended on the box, this may have helped with the good finish.
The Flashforge flexible PLA is reasonable value for money though there is quite variation in prices depending on colour. There are seven colours on the Amazon listing which gives you a good choice.

I have never had an issue printing any filament but this flexible pla won’t feed, won’t adhere to layers, and keeps clogging my nozzle. Again, I have never had this issue with any filament, I’ve dried it for a few hours, I’ve played with the settings, I can’t even get this stuff to work long enough to calibrate it. I have included a photo of one of my failed Cali-dragons in black and one I printed today in blue 95a TPU. This Adventurer 5m has handled the toughest of filaments with ease… this is just a crappy product and it is not worth the time or money. Just pass do not even try it… TPU is a better option. I will be returning this and will never buy it again.

The quality of this filament is really bad. First of all it’s extremely stringy and the printed object looked horrendous. Secondly it adhered so well to the build plate that it was impossible to get off. My $40 build plate is ruined. Finally it clogged my printer many times and cost me several hours to disassemble and reassemble the printer. So unless you want to ruin your printer, stay away from this filament. If you need a flexible material, just buy TPU. On a side note if you are planning to try this to print the airless basketball do not do it. The ball looks really bad and does not bounce.

I printed tracks for a tank with this PLA – easy to use – can clog your printhead – but I was expected that – the final rendered tracks is really flexible perfect for my design. Used on Ender3.
