Better off getting a Actiontec modem router. Easy to set up and more stable. Found this modem doesn’t work too great with third party routers over AT & T DSL.

this modem does the job as intended. It gets warm and some days have to be reset often. But it seems more reliable and uses the system speed better(faster) than the 2210 that it replaced.
Update: I have had the modem for quite awhile, it does not require resetting as it did when new, and does not get as warm. 5/13

If you are considering buying this modem for your AT&T DSL, don’t do it! I have a pretty fast plan (5mbps) and the moment I installed this modem, I could no longer watch videos without extreme buffering. Things were unwatchable and so slow. I promptly bought a used Speed Stream 4100 and instantly, videos never buffered and my speed was fast. This is a cheaply made modem. The old Speed Streams are by far so much better. Do not buy this!

I am not computer savvy so I am unable to write a proper review of computer stuff but I hooked it up and it worked so I gave it a good rating based on it doing, so far, for the last week or so what I bought it to do.

I have AT&T High Speed Internet Direct Elite which accomodates speeds up to 6 mbps and this modem is compatible. If you must have AT&T this modem does the job and saves you money in the long run. AT&T isn’t a great provider but this modem isn’t the problem.

Only the modem and power supply will be delivered. Looking at the product as displayed in the picture, the dsl filters and Ethernet connectors are not included as shown. Reporting this deception to Amazon has not corrected so you will need to supplement these items yourself in order to make this product work
