Do you not use or know what Wake on LAN (WoL) is? You can ignore the review and probably buy this switch with no issues.
If you rely on Wake on LAN. Be aware this switch will not work for you.
Ben –
This works well, but it does get hot.
SuperTech –
In almost 30 years of dealing with this tech stuff, I’ve never seen a switch burn out an onboard ethernet port. After a few days of having this online, my Gigabyte onboard ethernet is fried like an egg and no longer works. Very strange, returning this item and staying far away. Going back to my old 1GB GS108 workhorse.
Steve –
Conflicts with wavelengths from surrounding cell phone towers intermittently interfered with our wifi. This switch was a seamless way to assure signal to more distant areas of the house with our 3 Eero Pro 6E’s.
Michel –
Appareil bien construit. Fonctionne très bien, sans problème. Répond tout à fait à mes besoins.
Pippa Brooks –
This item only ships with a 120-volt power supply. It is not appropriate for use in the UK and should not be sold here without a warning.

Work like a charm? No problem install !

Amazon Customer –
This isn’t for WiFi. It’s for shoving data along Ethernet when 1Gb isn’t quite cutting it anymore. And so far, that’s what it’s been doing.
JJL –
It’s definitely running a bit hot, and you can feel it from the metal case. This could be a good thing because it’s dissipating the heat; or it could be a bad thing because it’s just hotter than my other 2.5GbE switches. Speed is good and has no throttling when it’s on a desk. Could be problematic if you need to put this in a closed space, like a cable casing or something.
DChan –
This unit is great that it supports 2.5Gbps, ideal for home networking. And is backward compatible to 100Mbps. It is easy to setup and works out of the box.
Kindle Customer –
Simple plug and play. Has 2.5 gb rate which works well for an unlink. Runs a little warm. Very happy with unit.
Customer 1098 –
Love the 5 port, easy setup and great signal upkeep. Netgear and TP link have been my go to for years and they still do not let me down.
