This switch is great the only problem I have is the POE part of it doesn’t work. When I have my cell phone plugged into the POE switch part it does not charge my cell phone. My phone battery loses power when using the POE switch. My phone does not show there is a charge being delivered to my phone. Other than that it works great I can get internet to all the Cat6 plugin locations in my house at the same time.

I’ve had this switch for a few years now in the basement with the rest of my equipment. It’s always been really loud. Last week I ordered 2 Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX and a 3 pin Y adaptor to replace the single fan in this unit. Now it’s completely silent. There is two fan vents on this unit, no need to worry about making one.

Hot dog, I love Linksys. This switch is absolutely super. With an all-metal construction, it feels excellent in-paw. Whether you’re using it to conduct serious business, or view lewds on the internets, that’s entirely up to you but at least you should know it will do it INCREDIBLY WELL!

Pros: Everything (all metal build, rapid speeds, flashy blinky lights, good weight, etc)

    Cons: None.
    – Okay, maybe one. I wish each port had two LEDs, rather than just one. But this is nothing serious. The one LED changes color based on connection speed. Orange = 100mbs. Green = 1Gbps

I had a couple of concerns when purchasing this switch so I will do my best to help fill in some of my worries.
    1. The POE does power Unify Access points: U6+ Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Access Point (Purchased)
    2. It is a little loud but not horrible, I wouldn’t want this under my desk or in my bedroom but a closet with an enclosed rack should be fine.
    3. Longevity, Its only been installed for about a week so far no issues but I cant say much at this point.

Purchased this to replace a ruckus switch that came with the house I purchased a year ago. The ruckus started failing intermittently since day one, and kept getting worse. This linksys switch has been working fine so far for a fraction of the cost of the ruckus junk

24 gigabit ports with 12 POE. This one switch replaced a different 24 port switch, only 100 MBPS, and a separate 8 port gigabit switch with 4 POE ports.

The only downside is that this unit has a cooling fan, which is a little noisy.

I felt the description was misleading stating 8 Port POE switch. Only in the fine print does it state that only 4 are POE. Other than not having enough POE ports, the switch works fine .

I bought this switch to be used with 3 IP cameras. This switch was perfect because the price is great, its gigabit (pretty much necessary nowadays). It only has 4 of the 8 ports powered but that was not a problem for me as I am only using 3. The setup was extremely easy and was just a matter of unboxing, plugging in the power and 1 cat5 cable from my existing network. I have been using it for the last week with 100% uptime for all cameras.
