I installed this is my Dell XPS PC. It was recognized by Windows 11, and once I plugged in the DAC cable between it and the USW-Enterprise-8-PoE switch, it lit up and obtained an IP address. The switch is connected back to the Server Room with a SMF cable to the main switch. I can now move backup images and other large files between my PC and the servers at full GB a second.

Just installed today using a FLYPROFiber LC duplex adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FWZRQYX connected to a Zyxel Switch https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084MLC83G via Amazon basics fiber https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDMCDJR.
Windows 10 connection properties indicates I am connected at 10Gbps.
After leaving it up and running for a few hours the heatsink was only warm. Maybe 90 degF. Hopefully the beefy heatsink will help this last a long time.

As for speed testing, the only other higher speed item I have on my network is my file server @ 2.5Gbps on copper. I was able to sustain between 250-280MB/s according to windows file transfer dialog on a single 3GB file. Compared to only 113MB/s on gigabit ethernet, that’s a considerable boost in speed.

This thing is great, the only thing its missing is WOL (Wake on LAN) support, so the computer cannot be woken unless you also connect the internal NIC for that function. It’s not a big deal, but I will likely need to find another adapter, and use this one in a system I don’t need that feature on.

I purchased this card with a matching 10 gig wifi router figuring they two would work best together not the case i have tried the Asus driver and the chipset manufacture driver. I got the 10 gig fiber to help with file and streaming to my server bottleneck… it works in regular packet size

No driver install necessary, just works beautifully with Win11 and Linux out of the box.

SFP+ with a DAC cable so no need for transceivers if you are plugging to an SPF+ port on your router or switch.

I made a mistake the first time around of shopping by price. The trade off on my first 10g NIC was the random and occasional disconnects. This one performs flawlessly and has much better network throughput. If I needed another one I would buy it again. It did not work out of the box in my wi does 11 machine but after installing the included (I know right?) drivers it immediately was recognized and work fine. I started with computers in the late 80โ€™s so the concept of installing a driver is no big deal for me.

Bought it used and works great and as expected.

Bonus was finding out I can wake on LAN even after a shutdown! This is after hearing so many people say it doesn’t have WOL functionality. ASUS may have added it in a firmware update or maybe has to do with the motherboard? Idk. I have gigabyte z390 auros ultra.

This is the third NIC I purchased for my home server – the others ran either on PCIe x8 (not an option for my build) or PCIe Gen2 x4 (severely limiting the bandwidth to about 6 gigabit/s).

I found this listed as a PCIe Gen3 x4 card, and ordered it.

Almost twice as expensive as the first card I had purchased, and more than I would have expected to pay for a network card in general, this ASUS card does exactly what it says.

I am able to get 1GB/s transfers in windows, the proxmox kernel properly supported it with zero extra configuration required, the heatsink makes a tangible difference, and it looks nice to boot.

Stable connection with no packet loss, VLAN capable, silent, able to handle the traffic of 17 IP addresses across both IPv4 and IPv6 with no issues, and able to accept ordinary/cheap SFP+ modules, this NIC excels at what it does.
