ordered the 2 pack linksys velop refurbished version and the first one came with no power supplies no ethernet cables.
Ok sure – its a packing mistake.
Ordered a replacement one, no power supply and came with 3 ethernet cables for whatever reason.
Returning both – beware no power supply was included for both my orders.

I’ve searched high and low for a system that would connect and maintain a steady Internet signal. This system does it well and provides full bandwidth at all times. While I’m not sure how that is possible, I get a steady signal unlike the one I get if connected directly to the cable company’s wifi system. This purchase was priceless.

Relatively easy set up, and so far happy with down and upload speeds. Experienced my first “streaming” glitch last night watching an on demand movie that was not previously recorded. Hope that won’t be a common occurrence. Time will tell and I’ll update this review accordingly. For speed and ease of installation it easily earns 5-stars.
I’ve purchased a number of manufacturer refurbished products and never experienced any difficulty, so don’t let that deter you from this one. Just a great opportunity to save a few bucks!
Update, as promised. System went offline after a bit over a week of very solid performance. Spent over two hours with Tech Support trying to isolate problem. Very professional and responsive tech support, but when we get down to reconfiguring node ports, signal modulation, and where what should be securing power supply, everything went “over my head”. I’m a plug it in, set it up, and it best work kind of guy! It’s going back to Linksys. Unfortunate, because the system was easy to install the first time, and I truly don’t believe the “refurbished” status mattered. I just choose not to be subject to a possible hours maintenance detail on a regular basis.for ANY electronic device.

I had trouble setting up a different router so I went with this one and setup was very simple. The enclosed instructions were very clear, making the process easy. I live in a two-story home so having one on each floor really helps.

This system was super easy to set up first of all. Second, the app is amazing, you can label every device, and schedule every device that connects. the power of these nodes is ridiculous. In the past I had a ac1750 router and the signal would barely reach my work shop 100ft away at the back of the property and some parts of my house had bad signal (3000 sq ft) . I had to instal a range extender outside in a custom enclosure to protect from the elements to boost my signal into my workshop . now i have one node in my house, centrally located and the second node is INSIDE A METAL SHED 125ft away and my download speed inside the shed was 445mb/s!!!!!!!!! i am only paying for 500 service so basically no drop off.
BUY THIS PRODUCT, i know it is expensive, but it is so worth it!! seamless changing of nodes, I have wifi on a half acre of property inside and out of a 3000 sq ft single story home and a metal shed.And not just wifi blazing fast wifi

I first bought a new three-pack from the Apple Store and loved it, but it turns out I only needed two to cover two houses. TWO houses! Since I only needed two routers and Apple only sold three, I looked to Amazon and found these refurbs for 60% less than the new price for three. The setup was exactly the same and the quality is exactly the same.
For reference, I was getting 60 mbps standing next to my old Apple AirPort Extreme and ≤20 mbps next door. With two Velops installed, I now get 160 mbps anywhere in either house. That’s ≥800% the previous speed. I highly recommend these.
