This works extremely well as the numbers are spaced enough that I do not need to view the calculator while entering numbers. I purchased this model for the item counter & it has worked extremely well. I need to add multiple items at a time & when someone walks in the room & distracts you, you know exactly where you left off as it has the count, start with the next item, just count down your list to the next. If it shows 5, continue with the 6th item on your list. The item count also works with the memory, if you do calculations and place the result in memory, it keeps a count of the total items in memory, also. This is a fantastic feature & I highly recommend. As you see in the photo, I’ve added three items, If I now added that to memory, it would state when I recall memory that I only have one item in memory. Excellent calculator, especially as I don’t care to run the tape.

I have always used Sharp printing calculators and don’t change as I am used to the key layout. I was used to using a QS-2850A which has been discontinued. I then purchased a VX-2652H and was unhappy with it as the result on the paper couldn’t be read without advancing the paper or adjusting your head higher to read it. Quite a pain and should be corrected. I compared the 2 calculators noted above and noticed the cover over the print head and ribbon was different on those 2 models. I looked at the QS-2770H and it’s cover was similar to the QS-2850A, so I purchased it. It is easy to read without advancing the paper or stretching my neck to read. Glad it worked because otherwise I was going to start looking for a different make of calculator to eliminate the issue.

I’m a professional accountant and needed to upgrade my 20 year old sharp, which recently died. These machines are workhorses. I can punch in numbers at superspeed. It took a few days to get used to the new touch after using the old machine for so long. Now it feels like a comfortable shoe. Note: This is a ten key, so will not work as a traditional calculator. When you subtract a number you enter the number and then hit the minus key. Once feature that this has is the item counter display, which I love. Sharp professional calculators are terrific. I’ve actually purchased a few of them for cheap at garage sales, which I use at home. For work, I wanted something new.

I work on accounting spreadsheets and add lots of numbers everyday. I love the item counter, it helps me stay on track with the number of columns I have to add. This is a good quality machine.

This is the industry standard 10 key printing calculator. When I first began my career in finance/accounting, my company provided this calculator to the entire department. Ever since then I make sure one is on every desk I sit at. It makes me incredibly efficient and productive. The keys are easy to use and everything flows very well. I can’t recommend it enough. I probably only print about 10% of the time but having the easy-to-see screen is always useful. There are cheaper options available but you really get what you pay for.

This is a great calculator and I’ve used one at my office for 15 years and only purchased another one for my home office. The only complaint I have about it is that the filaments in the VFD display glow red and you can see them quite easily in the dark, VFD filaments should be hot, but not hot enough to glow red as that will shorten the life of the display and cause oxidation to the filament wires. Perhaps on the next revision Sharp should lower the drive voltage on the filaments?

As an accounting professional, the Sharp QS-2770H is the best printing calculator that I have used during the past 50 years. It is commercial grade with numerous and needed features. It is designed for ultra-fast input with a great keypad feel. It is incredibly rugged and a huge boost to productivity and efficiency. Sharp, thank you for this product.
