I’ve got a small business selling items I make. For a few years I’ve been printing shipping labels onto plain paper and taping them onto the boxes I shipped. I finally decided to bit the bullet and buy a dedicated shipping label printer. The first one I bought was an inexpensive Bluetooth one (not Brother) that I couldn’t get to work at all. I’m pretty tech savvy so that was a big disappointment. I finally decided to try again with this substantially more expensive Brother label printer and I’m really glad I did. Setting it up and connecting it to my network was quick and easy. The labels print quickly and are very high quality. The only negative I’ve got is that setting up some functions of the printer requires me to plug it directly into my computer via a USB cable. I’d really prefer if I could do that wirelessly. Despite that niggle I’m very pleased with this printer and I wish I’d bought it years ago. It’s worth the relatively high price.

First of all, if I purchase something this expensive I expect it to arrive in a shipping box. This came in just the printer box itself and it was busted up and had holes. I am surprised the printer wasn’t damaged.
If you are like me, you keep the box to everything. It helps when you move and it is nice if you ever need to pack it back up for any reason. I don’t appreciate the lack of packaging. I took off a star for that, but the printer itself is awesome! I have several Brother printers and they are all worth the money.
The instructions are not very clear and won’t work with an iOS device. In order to use with iOS you have to use WiFi direct… Bluetooth will not work with iOS.
If you don’t know what I mean, there are several great videos on YouTube that will help you much more than the included instructions. If you are using for Mercari your labels will not print in focus because Mercari sends label to you in 8×11 format and when you crop it, it looks distorted. The only way I could find to fix was to print from my pc. Which defeats the purpose of being able to print wirelessly. (I want to use my phone and have instant gratification, right?) SO I found (on Reddit) a site that will crop for you and it will still scan. It was called fbatech and you can drag and drop your label into it. It works for other selling platforms labels also. I bought this for my husband as he owns a small business. He absolutely loves it, and says it is a game changer for shipping. Some of the other label printers didn’t have wi-fi, which I can’t imagine going without. The only downside is that we tried a non-Brother paper refill and it wouldn’t work with this device. We have to stick with the Brother brand labels, which can be a pain if they aren’t in stock. It’s also possible that maybe this printer DOES accept other brands of labels but the one we used didn’t work. I’m not sure. That being said, I would highly recommend this device: thr printer itself is EXCELLENT, it was easy to set up, works great with wi-fi, and never jams!

Can install the printer just fine and get it connected to the wireless network but after 10 minutes or so it goes offline and will not reconnect to Wifi again. Tried restarting computer, router, printer and it won’t reconnect. Tried both DHCP and static IP configurations and it doesn’t seem to matter. It will disconnect after a few moments and will not reconnect again.
However, if I uninstall the printer and reinstall it again it will work for a short amount of time again. If I power down the printer at all it will not reconnect again. Tried to google a solution and people who have reached out to support are being told the printer needs to be within 5 feet of the wireless router.
I’m sorry but no. I have 2 wireless Epson printers that have been working flawlessly for months. Another thing to note that I thought was odd, it doesn’t show up as Brother under connected devices on my router. Epson shows up as Epson, LG shows up as LG, heck even LIFX shows up as LIFX but this Brother printer shows up as some generic sounding company from Taiwan. Brother is not in the name at all on the connected devices list. Seems sketch.
Kinda bummed I have to send it back. I would have liked the 300 DPI. Giving the Rollo Wireless a try next.

I don’t why why I was a Dymo customer for so long. This label printer can connect wirelessly, wired Ethernet or USB. I can share this across my whole office effortlessly. The labels it produces are clear and accurate. Easy set up and so far no issues, like jams or printing issues such as streaks or missing areas.

Printer is good , it print well with no issue . Only reason I returned it because it requires brother lable only which is very expensive. Than I purchased a zebra which I can use standard thermal lable which I can purchase from any where

Before someone told us about ‘Thermal Printers’ we were printing on old 8.5×11 paper and taping the labels to the packages. When someone told us about ‘Rollo’… I know i wanted one… no ink?? ever?? wow, what a great idea. Later found out that these have been around for a while now and thinking about it, my Ptouch brother machine has to be thermal because i never change the ink on it, just the paper reel… but I didn’t know of an affordable kind for anyone… well, Rollo was going to be ours… until… we found out there’s no WiFi or Blutooth!!! what?? 2020 and the Rollo design is set to 2010 when Iphones were still sort of new?? So, i looked around and found this one. A bit pricey, but it has Wifi and BluTooth. So easy. My wife sells alot on Poshmark and does her whole business on her iphone. going to a printer or having a laptop around to use the Rollo wasn’t feasible, so with this Brother machine…. hooked up to a switched outlet… We turn on the outlet within seconds the brother printer joins the network and she can print labels from her phone to the printer. The labels come out very quickly and stick very well to any type of package. Our only complaint is the cost of the labels, therefore we found an alternative even though the quality of the labels is inferior… but who cares!! it’s going to be discarded later on… But the printer is great. Highly recommended. 3rd party labels do work, so don’t get discouraged by the cost of the labels there are alternatives out there. if for some reason your 3rd party labels don’t work, just take apart the stock roll cartridge and re use it with the no name labels. Yes, it comes apart with a bit of force… it’s glued together.
