bought brand new didn’t used for 6 month pulled out of box to use and it doesnt work. Now its to late to return. Not compatible with Windows 11. Poor instruction with no support . Don’t buy this

We are replacing our our older 4XL Dymo printers with Sato versions rather than upgrading to 5XL.
Locking into their expensive labels is not an option. Our preprinted labels need to work with printer.

The new 5XL model only take Dymo branded labels with a chip in their labels that specify the label size and count. A few YouTube videos also confirmed it. That means your label cost will be a lot more if you print frequently. This device is also only compatible with the new Dyno Connect software which sucks compared to the 4XL with the v8 Label Maker software. After years of being Dymo user we might have to switch to another brand for our label printers. Save yourself time returning them if you are planning to use generic brand labels.

I use a MacBook and I’m stubborn. I’ve been using similar printers for years, but this one was a snap to set up. It had warnings to deal with software prior to connecting but I didn’t heed those warnings. Unit connected right away and I was printing in minutes.
