This coffee maker makes a decent cup of coffee, but is not very user friendly. It’s hard to see where the water line is when you’re filling it, and the auto-off feature is not automatic. We like to keep coffee hot all morning. Our last coffee maker allowed you to program the warmer to turn off automatically after a certain number of hours and if you needed it to stay on longer, you just pressed the warmer button. On this one, you have to press the auto off button during the brew cycle to extend the 2 hour warmer, and if you don’t and you go past the 2 hours, you actually have to press brew again to turn it back on. Makes no sense and customer service was no help. We went back to a Ninja and this one goes out to the camper. If I’d kept the box, it would go back to Amazon.

I have found two things I don’t like. They have made a slight indentation to help you lift the lid to put in the coffee grounds and the water. It is poor and I usually end up using both hands to open the lid. I also don’t l8ke the mess getting rid of the grounds with the mesh filter. After dumping 8t out after use, you then have to reverse wash it to get out all of the grounds. Probably no different with and coffeemaker using a mesh filter. Everything else seems great. It brews very fast, about 10-15 minutes for the entire pot of 12 cups. The coffee is great and it is kept hot on the plate for hours.

Decent coffee maker. The Braun’s control/clock is NOT backlit like shown in images. This makes setting time and setup/changes a pain. Coffee maker is easy to use and easy to clean. Carafe works find and is easy to pour without spills. Maker looks nice (especially if you like bright shiny stainless steel), and is a again, decent. The real problem, however, is the taste of the coffee. I’d say it is average at best. Not great. Not bad. Just boring average. And that is my main gripe. At this price, the taste should be a step or two above average. A single cup pour-over will destroy this unit in flavor and that is why a 3-star review. Acceptable for when company comes over, but for myself, I’ll stick to my pour-over.

What’s the most important thing about a coffee maker? The coffee flavor and temperature. This Braun model does both of those things very well.
However, three issues which I’ve had with this machine since day one have been: difficulty seeing how much water is going in, no beep to signal when all of the water has run through the filter, and it drips onto the heater plate when you take the carafe out.
When filling this up, you could fill up the carafe to a certain cup mark and then fill the maker, but I pour from a Brita and don’t want to do that extra step every day. The number markers in the water reservoir (4-6-8-10) are the same color as the tabs they are on, so unless you shine a flashlight down into it, it’s difficult to see which mark you’re at. An easy fix would’ve been black numbers on white marker tabs.
Despite all of the anti-drip technology which this Braun machine boasts, it still drips after I pull the carafe out. This could be due to the filter not being completely empty, however, there is no *beep* to signal when the machine has finished making the coffee, so you have to hope you’ve given it enough time to drain from the filter when it’s reached your cup level in the carafe. I’ve give it plenty of time to finish, turned the machine off and jiggled the carafe, but I still get a drip on the heater plate and have to waste a paper towel every morning. In Braun’s defense, I have yet to find a machine which is truly no-drip, so if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

We purchased this Braun KF7070 coffee maker because our old Braun started leaking. After we unpacked it and read the setup instructions we thought we had it ready to run, not true. First you need to push the power button to be able to activate any of the program functions. Once we got the length of keep warm time set and the brew flavor set we thought we were done. Not true. We needed to first press the power button, then we needed to press the start brew timer, then we needed to press the keep warm button. All three lights needed to be lit so it would start at the correct time and stay warm for 4 hours as we had set it up for. Once we got this done…. wonderful coffee was made! The initial temp of the coffee was very hot at 185*. After being used the coffee temp after about 2 hours still was kept very hot at 175* until it turned off. So once we got it programed correctly it was the best coffee pot maker we have ever had in over 30 years! Because the Braun KF7070 brews coffee so well we are now using less coffee than we used in our previous Braun coffee maker and it makes a very strong brew even set at the lower brew setting. The cost at Amazon was $89.99 but well worth the money. We rate this Braun KF7070 a 5 out of 5 for quality and making a great cup of coffee.
