As a one button manual coffee maker, it’s great for seniors who struggle with unecessary gadgetry. I bought it for my parents to replace a well used older version of the same model. However after less than 2 months the on/off switch stopped working and I had to purchase another replacement. Im hoping this one holds out longer.

After a couple of years of constant use, our Mr. Coffee still worked, but we couldn’t turn the button off—better safe than sorry, we decided it was time for a new coffee maker. We ordered another brand because it was cheaper and found so many things about it that we did not like. So we are returning that coffee maker, and we bought another Mr. Coffee. Just love this coffee maker. Easy to fill, easy to clean, doesn’t leak all over the place. So much easier to fill from the top than pulling a basket out from the side; side baskets also leak all over the counter. We just enjoy the great coffee and the simple but perfectly functional design of this machine. It may not have a lot of bells and whistles, but we start every day with delicious coffee. Just love it!

Several days ago, while washing the dishes I dropped the coffee cup, which smashed into the coffee pot. Only the coffee cup survived. I waited 4 long days of no-morning coffee waiting for this to arrive. I am a senior with mobility issues who does not drive so its not like I could just run out an buy one. Once I received this, ran a pot of water through it, and finally made that pot of morning coffee – it was the best coffee I ever had and it was the best coffee maker that ever existed! I now leave the coffee pot on the counter and when all the other dishes have been washed and the sink is empty, only then do I wash the coffee pot. Its pretty basic, which is what I wanted, no bells and whistles, very easy to use. The cord is kinda short but that’s ok by me as when its not in use its easy to tuck the cord behind it. It does have a little cubby hole to put the cord into to but its easier to just to hid it behind the coffee maker. If I had to I would buy again.

I liked the coffee pot while it was working, but it did not last a year. Unfortunately, I was unable to file on the year warranty as I trashed the pot when it stopped working not knowing that to file on the warranty I needed it. The warranty form asks questions that you have to answer directly from the coffee pot. The online form will not allow you to leave blanks.
UPDATE: I went online to the manufacturer and told them what happened. I provided proof of purchase receipt. Since I was still within the year warranty time frame, I received a new coffee pot.
I do appreciate the great customer service support.

It works fine. Makes a good cup of coffee. And the price is reasonable. So, if it goes belly up in a few years, that’s ok. I had a good coffee maker that cost a bundle and was WiFi and all that (I used the WiFi exactly 3 times) and after 3 years it went belly up. One morning it was working fine and the next day, the clock was biinking and nothing else was working.

The plug doesn’t fit into an electrical outlet because it’s too big. I forced it. The design has changed and I’m not able to lift the lid fully as it hits the overhead cabinet. I never had that problem in the past. I am satisfied with it’s overall operation. Thank you.

1/5/23 I haven’t even set it up yet! I just opened the package and was very gently and carefully removing the plastic wrap around the coffeemaker. When I removed the plastic from the top, the lid INSTANTLY fell off! I figured, OK, it must snap right back on, right? Nope! There’s no way to attach it back on. The little parts don’t align and there’s no way to slide them in place from the side. I’ve tried from every direction to see if I can put the tiny little protrusions back in the tiny holes but I couldn’t do it. I just called Mr. Coffee customer support but of course they’re closed.
1/8/23 UPDATE: Well, my construction guy neighbor was able to get the lid back on, but he told me he did have the bend outward the top part of the coffeemaker (because the allowed space was so tight) to reattach the lid.
OK, so now I’ve got a coffeemaker. And it seems to work fine!

The Mr. Coffee machine is very good. Easier to use that several others I checked out. I’m very happy with it, but I do have a gripe. It was a returned unit. No damage or dirt but for $40 and no mention of it having been returned, I thought the price should have been reduced.
