The base is lightweight, which is nice for lifting out of the cabinet. The on/off is a dial which seems easier to use than my previous button models. I had a Kitchen Aid food processor previously, and this model is much less powerful, the bowl much thinner, and overall seems cheap by comparison. But at one-fourth the price, I expected that. The simplicity makes it easy to operate and clean. Durability can’t be assessed, since I’ve only used it three times.

Mine is fairly new and for some reason the lid got jammed while putting together and can’t undo it. Both my husband have tried many times.

Top won’t lock into bowl. Too bad. Would have liked to try it. Returning to Amazon. Quality control issue.

This 8 Cup Food processor is light and easy to use. I was impressed by the power and sharp blade. It was intuitive to use and easy to clean. The blade is quite sharp and I did cut myself when I was taking it out to wash however there is a blade protector for storage. It was light so you can put it in a cabinet and take it out without a safety concern. I used the pesto recipe that came with the processor and that was yummy on pasta and sandwiches. Also chopped onions with out pulverizing them as some machines tend to do. All around good product.

I LOVE this food processor!
First, it’s easy to unpack and assemble, and is a perfect size and fit in my kitchen. Directions are clear and user guide comes with recipes as well. The processor Is lightweight which was a bit of a surprise because it is an 8-cup capacity processor. It’s compact and fits nicely on my counter under the cabinets as seen in the picture I attached.
Second, the processor is easy to use. I have owned and used several different processors and this one is not complicated – I’m not a professional chef so too many bells and whistles make me nervous! Measurements are clearly marked and there is one dial for the speed settings (low, high and pulse). It comes with one metal chopping/mixing blade, one thin reversible slicing/shredding disc and one thick reversible slicing/shredding disc. All are simple to install and remove. They are also very easy to clean as is the 8-cup attachable bowl – all are dishwasher safe and easily fit in the dishwasher itself. The base has suction cup attachments that keep it place when mixing at a higher speed, which I really like. It’s also more on the quiet side when operating which I also liked.
I have used this processor for several of my favorite recipes and it made the chopping and slicing quicker and easier. Overall, I highly recommend this product!

PERFECT FOR ME

This is a powerful little food processor. I got the 8 cup one, which is big enough for a 2-person household. Because it is round, it has a small 7.5″ by 7.5″ footprint, although the handle of the mixing bowl sticks out another 2 inch or so. It comes with three chopping/slicing devices, a stainless steel chopping blade, a reversible thin shredding and slicing disk, and a reversible thick shredding and slicing disk. I have grated carrots, parmesan cheese, and apples with it, and used the chopper and the slicers, too. All work well and do what they are supposed to do. The motor does not seem to mind when you let it run for a while, and it does not start to smell. It is easy to clean, either by hand or in the dishwasher. The only issue, typical for rotating disk slicer and grater, is that the end piece of whatever you slice or grate will be left and not go through the grater or slicer. But that’s a technical issue that can’t be resolved because there needs to be a bit of a gap between the bottom end of the pusher for the feeding tube. And that gap is where the end piece will go to, rather than getting grated or sliced. Thus, you’ll have the same problem with the more expensive food processors.

This food processor is light weight in that is not physically heavy, but its motor seems adequately powerful for home use. I liked the simple bowl design with no nooks and crannies thus being easy to clean. The two shredding blades are sturdy enough, and they are dual purpose, shredding on one side and slicing on the other. I was not impressed by the main cutting blade however. Its blades are attached to very light weight plastic, and I don’t know how long it will last. The same can be said of the motor shaft which is not rigid and also covered by flimsy plastic. All in all this machine does the job, but I worry some of its components won’t last for the long haul.
