As frugal as I am, I thought long and hard before buying this slow cooker. The feature that swayed me was the browning capability. I hate browning on a stove top. When you brown in a frying pan, you have to take apart the stove afterwards, clean the top of the stove, then the greasy frying pan. Too much work so I usually avoided recipes that called for browning. This cooker does the job with no mess or fuss. The slow cooker features are fine, does a great job, and this cooker has a classy look if you use it for parties. it’s super easy to clean, especially if you use a liner like I do. Worth the money for sure!!

I just LOVE THIS PRODUCT. It replaces a 6 quart Cuisinart with a ceramic oval bowl , slow cooker, that the heating element was starting to go! I have utilized this 4 in 1 product in all capacities and it is truly amazing! I especially love the browning and sautéing feature. It truly does everything it states. My oven just went and with all the features on this little workhorse, I will be slow to have it repaired!😊 I’m still experimenting with recipes, but I’m sure it won’t fail me. The 7 quart bowl is light to lift, even with food in it and non-stick, easy clean up. The price was ‘right’ and the delivery was within 1 day! Cuisinart well-packed this product and the registration is super easy, especially using your smartphone. I give this a 5 star PLUS!!!

I have now been using this slow-cooker for well over a year and it’s fabulous. I’ve not experienced the problems of other negative reviewers. Stay away from hard plastic utensils and use the softer silicon ones or a wooden spoon to preserve the non-stick surface. And while it says it’s dishwasher safe, I’d avoid that since the temperature in a dishwasher can be very hot. I wash it only by hand since it is so easy to clean with a soft plastic scratch sponge.
I purchased two refurbished units for each of our two kitchens. I liked it so much that I purchased a brand new one as a gift for a family member. The best features are the brown/sauté option and the fact that the exterior unit does get warm but not overly hot to cause a burn by touching it. I had a crock pot in the ’70’s and it changed the taste of the food. This cast aluminum insert will not. I’ve adjusted my own recipes for this size unit.
One thing: the box labeling is deceptive. It says it’s a 3.5 quart unit (but it is in fact a 7 quart unit).
Another thing: I can’t understand why it was sold with a metal insert rack. I never used the metal rack but instead, purchased a silicon rack from Amazon that would not scratch the unit and that works very well. The metal rack makes no sense.
I’ve cooked chicken, beef short ribs, pork butt, soups and chili in the slow-cooker and the braising/sauté function expedites the prep. Go to work, make appointments, run errands while dinner is prepared. Love this unit!

I should get a sales commission! I talk so often about how wonderful my 6-quart Cuisinart Multi-cooker is that my friends are starting to think I work for the company. Had mine for about 2 years and use it several+ times a week. So far, I’ve had nothing but wonderful results. When I had shoulder surgery a few months ago it became all but impossible for me to work with my nice (but heavy) Le Creuset cookware. The multi-cooker came out of the cabinet and hasn’t left the counter top since. The lightweight cooking vessel is so much easier for me to handle. It cleans easily and performs very well. I can actually manage to hold it with one hand while using my other and a spatula to remove food or sauce. There are even indented places in the four corners that make it easier for pouring. Slow cooking is sometimes how it’s used, but the saute feature is used more. My non-stick skillet with its low sides contributed to stove-top splatters. The deep sides of the multi-cooker prevent all that mess. It’s great for cooking bacon! We’ve steamed shrimp in it with great success and also done a vegetable medley (had to stagger the “in” times to get all the veggies done correctly). It’s also perfect for recipes (like chili) that call for sauteing meats and vegetables followed by a slow and low cooking period. Plus, the slow cooking features do everything I need them to do. Wishing all my friends who love to cook had one of these.
