This works great! I was not sure how it would go because I have always used a more sophisticated ice cream maker. I’m really pleased with how it works. The only issue I have is pulling out the dasher and scraping the icecream out. I was spoiled with a different icecream maker that dispensed the iceream for me and then there was minimal need to scrape icecream from the dasher and canister…

After just 3 uses, we noticed the blue fluid from the inside coming out. Noticed there were several cracks.
Trashed this one and spent a bit more for the legit KitchenAid version.
I’d recommend you do the same so you only have to buy it once.

The plastic connector broke on the first use so the icecream was only ice. I tried to remove the “ice cream” and damaged the inside container.

1.5 c heavy cream
1.5 c half and half
2 T vanilla bean paste (not extract)
1 c sugar
I am from down south (Arkansas) and I can say I have eaten some very good vanilla bean ice cream. I searched the internet to try and find a good recipe but no one had good measurements. I put these measurements and made the best vanilla bean ice cream I have ever had in my entire life. I mixed the ingredients in a metal bowl so it would stay cold. I stirred up the ingredients completely to make sure the sugar dissolves. Set it back in the fridge for about 10 minutes to give you time to get the ice cream bowl setup properly. Put your mixture out of the fridge, give it a good stir to make sure it didn’t separate, pour it into your ice cream maker while it’s running because it starts to freeze ASAP (especially if it has been in the back of your freezer for about 2 or 3 days). 20 minutes later you have the BEST VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM you have ever tasted in your life. I hope you enjoy and have fun with you ice cream maker like I have with mine.

I bought this to make iced cream for my granddaughters, it was a hit!
The ice cream was nice and soft, I like it that way, you can freeze it for a harder consistency. I’ve made 6 batches, no problems.
Tried doing a 2nd batch right after the first one and it was semi successful, I would limit to one batch per freeze cycle.
