Product packaging was damaged when delivered but contents of it do not seem damaged from it. Cast irons are great but out of the box some pans were uneven with little bumps or what look to be little nicks in it. Definitely not the end of the world and fixable. There was also random parts of the seasoning that would either flake off or what seemed to be scraped off before it was set. Also something that can easily be fixed.
The pot wasnt seemless all around near the lid. Looked like however it was machined, half was fine and the other half is uneven and has ridges on it(in picture). It was on the outside so it shouldnt effect the performance of it.
Other than that they work great.

This was the most affordable and accessible way to buy Lodge brand cookware from Canada. We are so happy with our purchase! Everything came in good condition (read all of the included leaflets and paperwork, though!) And taught us about the Lodge brand and why some things looked the way the did, etc.
Personally we don’t use vegetable oils, so we scrubbed off the Lodge coating and have built up our own seasoning with avocado oil, but these work incredibly well and will hopefully be with us for many, many, many years to come!

Had a similar set some years ago and handed them down to friends who still use and love them. Lodge quality is still there, and with simple care (clean with a brush when needed, even a tiny bit of soap if really necessary, and a very light coat of oil after use) these will last forever. Dutch oven makes excellent round loaves of bread too.

My daughter convinced me, after being on a health kick, to throw out my used nonstick pots and invest in cast iron. I trust her judgement and took her word and made this purchase. The pots came so nicely packaged. I forgot how heavy cast iron is. I feel as if I am lifting weights! I was excited to use them that I cooked a soup in the bigger pot tonight. I luv, luv it! I also purchased wooden spoons to use with the cast iron, another healthy suggestion from my daughter. Both of these were a great investments.

La calidad es genial y por supuesto, valen la inversión. Un sartén de hierro fundido puede durar GENERACIONES si se cuida y utiliza adecuadamente.
Requieren mantenimiento inmediato después de cocinar:
1.- Lavar muy bien con agua y jabón para retirar los restos.
2.- Secar completamente. (Yo lo pongo a fuego bajo recién lavado durante unos 10-15 minutos para que se evapore toda la humedad existente.)
3.- Estando tibia y seca, aplicar suavemente una muy delgada capa de aceite de cocina con una servilleta hasta cubrir todas las superficies y guardar en un sitio colgante de preferencia.
Tienes que realizar ése proceso después de cada cocinada, o de lo contrario se te va a oxidar porque no es un material inoxidable.
En cuanto al producto, lo recomiendo totalmente. (Si te gusta la cocina y estás dispuesto a darle su debido mantenimiento, de lo contrario, búscate otra opción que se adapte más a tÃ.)

I bought this set a few weeks ago and took it camping and it was my first experience cooking in cast iron over a fire/ hot coals by myself. This set is lovely! I do see some dings and imperfections, however, it’s cast iron and it’s for making amazing food, not show-casing on display! I’m happy with them,”dings and all”. I washed them with hot soapy water when they arrived and dried, then oiled them and cooked them in the oven for 1 hour on 350°and then let them cool completely in the oven before packing them in a box to go! Per suggestions, I cooked bacon for the first time use over the fire and they now pretty much wipe out clean with an oiled paper towl after each use. I scrubbed them with a small amount of hot water and seasoned them again (oil, baked and cool process) when we got home and they look beautiful and new, even after being burried in coals and fire and roughed up. I highly recommend this set!
