Some reviews, people don’t like the light ? – then put a piece of tape over it ? Ha hee – it’s not that bright ! -it’s a power on indicator letting you know it’s working. I don’t understand the easy logic in that ??

I needed a surge suppressor for a new computer I just purchased. I did not want to plug the computer into the surge power strip where other electronic devices were connected. This was perfect in providing me a single plug alternative that I can use as isolated surge protection.
I love the fact that you can plug this into the bottom of a standard two receptacle plug and still have access to the upper wall plug if you need it. Since this doesn’t have a cord, I don’t have to worry about more wires under my desk. I just plugged my new computer into this, and I’m protected. At 2205 Joules, it is stronger than most of the other strips and wall plugs I’ve seen for sale.
This is a great little item at a really good price.

I have owned other single plug surge protectors in the past but these units are both the most ascetically pleasing I have found and they have excellent Jules and wattage protection levels, higher than most I have seen.
I have a whole house surge protector but I use surge protectors on all my major electronics. I like to use this style on stand alone items such as my subwoofer; and small appliances that do not lend themselves to a power bar style protector.
Surge protectors are one of those items that one does not truly know how well they work until they don’t work but I feel confident these units will perform as intended when needed.

I bought this surge protector for my garage door opener. It firmly plugs into the ceiling outlet and the opener cord fits snugly into the surge protector. Snug fit is important because of using an outlet in the ceiling. Since this one worked well, I ordered several others like it for my other garage door openers.
