I received it and I put it together myself (73 years old) and it went together pretty easily and I sat on it and it is very sturdy and I love the look of it. This rack gives me a place to put them out of the way. I have a place upstairs where I keep shoes I don’t wear often, but for my cycling, gym and everyday shoes, this is perfect. It is sturdy and would definitely work to use as a bench, but the top serves as a third shelf for my gym bag and weekly food pantry items. It was easy to assemble, and doesn’t wobble. Each shelf holds 3 pairs of my size 9 wide shoes. I like that it does the job without being overly large or in the way. The price is a good value considering that it doubles as a bench. The bench top is a good height for sitting on.
