Love east oak products and this is no exception, puts off a ton of heat and ultimately looks good. I thought I would like the white color, but even the grates that protect the glass column are white and I feel like it gives off cheap vibes for what is otherwise a great outdoor heater. Assembly was straight forward and the instruction book was very well documented.

I purchased the heater months ago and didn’t have a chance to open it until about two weeks ago. Assembly was easy and the instructions were clear. I began assembling the base outdoors but it wasn’t complete when the sun went down so I took it inside to complete it. I was shocked at how tall it was, about 9’. It’s been very hot so I haven’t used it yet but I’d be happy to review this heater again once I can report on the functionality of it.

This is a very nice pyramid style patio heater that is very attractive. My husband and I assembled it in under 2 hours. We took our time and read the instructions carefully. Note that the unit comes in a large box weighing 70 lbs. We used an appliance dolly to transport it to the workshop for assembly. The Owners manual contains step by step pictorial instructions, most of which were pretty easy to understand. It came with everything we needed for assembly with the exception that we used an 8mm wrench (pictured on the owners manual) to tighten the nuts on the double sided bolts at the top and a cordless drill for tightening the screws for expediency. There are a pair of white cotton gloves for handling the glass cylinder which was really nice to keep it clean. There are some extra screws in case some are needed. And it was nice that a AA battery was included for the ignition switch. The propane tank is not included but a 20lb gas grill tank works well. Screws were supplied for securing it to the ground, but they didn’t seem adequate for the job. There are small wheels on the back of the unit so you can tip it and roll it to move it. Please note that this unit is 91 inches (7 feet, 7 inches) tall. It must have at least 3 feet of clearance above it if used under any kind of roof which means an 11 ft high roof. We didn’t realize this and can’t use it on the covered deck space we had envisioned, but can use it on the open patio. It also needs two feet of clearance on all sides when in use. Because it is so tall, it would be a risk to blow over in heavy winds if not secured. We plan to store it inside when not in use. Overall, I think this is an attractive patio heater.

This is a beautiful addition to our deck and will help us enjoy it during the cooler months. What really caught my eye is how beautiful it looks while operating. The flame enclosed in the glass tube adds a touch of style, while it can put out some heat.
Using the heater is extremely easy. Just turn the dial to the pilot setting and press the ignition button. After a few seconds, you can turn the knob to customize the heat level you want. It has some built in protections such as automatic shut off if it tilts more than 45 degrees and automatically turning off the propane if the flame goes out, which is nice to have. If you attach it to the deck using the included brackets, you shouldn’t have to worry about it tilting though.
Everything came packaged neat and protected. Overall, it took me less than an hour to assemble. The directions were well laid out and all the parts went together easily. I am glad they included gloves with it as those protected my hands as some of the edges are sharp. Unfortunately, I spent a lot of time removing the blue protective film from the stainless steal sides and top. For some reason, it just didn’t want to let go and kept tearing. But I glad it had it on it and helped keep the sides protected from scratches.
If I had to reassemble it again, I would probably leave off the bottom brackets since they scrape the ground when wheeling it around. However, now that it is in place, I don’t foresee moving it often. Overall, I am very happy with the heater as it adds some high end fashion to our deck and most importantly, puts out the heat.

The heater arrived a couple of days before expected delivery date. Everything was packed well. Nothing broken. Instructions were good and easy to follow. All the pieces fit together very well. They sent extra is some pieces. It took my husband, a mechanic millwright, a little over an hour to assemble it.
The heat it puts out is decent on an Oregon coast summer evening. Whether it will warm us during the Oregon coast winter months is yet to be seen.
We bought two of these East Oak outdoor heaters and we are thrilled with them. They look great and heat well. Can’t wait for a deck party to share our new deck with others.

Really nice patio heater. Assembly took around an hour or so. I managed to strip one screw hole at the bottom, which is a bummer. More likely operator error. The instructions were written really well, diagram and manual was nicely illustrated. Overall assembly was smooth, albeit assembling anything like this is a pain. Everything was also well packaged. The 4ft glass tube was perfectly in tact and looks great. Most everything was packaged separately so there’s quite a bit of waste at the end – several boxes, plastic bags, and styrofoam.
The heater itself looks great. The bronze panels are nice, all the stainless and aluminum bits look like it’s well made. No issues with the finish or any damage or blemishes. The branding also looks really nice too. My only qualm with the looks is the white protective grates. They remind me of those cheap wire shelves and sort of detract from the overall beauty. Having these be stainless or some sort of nicer metal grate would be a simple way to take this thing to the next level. The big glass tube is nice as well.
I still need to get a propane tank and actually fire this thing up. I am sure it will put out plenty of heat for my patio in the winter. I will update once I test it’s functionality. I am overall really happy with this heater!
