We use this heater on an outdoor, screened-in porch and it has helped us to extend our outdoor season. Gives off lots of heat making it very warm for those up close to it, with less intensity the further you move away from it. Sitting 10 feet away on a cool Fall day (10C-12C) was quite comfortable. Any cooler and you’ll want to move closer to it. Put it together in a few minutes, adjusted the height and angle, and plugged it. Voila!

Purchased the first unit in late Oct/22. It stopped working so we were sent a replacement in Jan/23. The second unit has now stopped working and there is no option to replace or refund now. Waste of money!!

Nice stand, nice looking heat tube. But that’s about it. The heat ‘head’ (for lack of a better word) is permanently mounted to the stand, with no allowance or method of rotating it for storage, and no simple way to remove it either. No clips or anything. Just small machine screws.
Now about the heat. Very disappointed. The heat output is minimal compared to electric current input. This newfangled “carbon fiber” heating element is fancy to look at, but does jot output anywhere near the heat that my old quartz tube heater put out. I can stand right in front of it and feel warm on my face, but barely anything through my jacket. It did not even warm up the wood wall opposite te lamp just a few feet away, while my old one would get the wall nice and warm. And it’s got a massive (and I’m talking truly massive) wire safety cage when a much smaller one would have more than enough. I’d have loved to return it , but it’s up at my cabin. Now I know why they were on sale so often for so low.
And let’s not forget about the on/off “touch” button instead of thermostat. How dumb. If it loses power it does not go back on. You gotta go and take your gloves off (remember, the heat output is minimal) and “touch” the power button.
All in all, a major disappointment. Takes up a colossal amount of space and doesn’t do much other than look impressive.

I have plenty of 1500 watt space heaters and none of them put out this amount of heat. I travel a lot and got tired of coming home to a freezing house that takes my central heating unit all day to get up to temperature. In the past I would put a space heater in each of the rooms to heat the house faster. Some of the 1500 watt space heaters I had the fans were getting loud and noisy, so I purchased this unit to replace them. I don’t know how this unit manages to radiate heat so well but it really puts the heat out. The heat disburses in a nice even pattern and there are no “hot spots” to worry about. Instead of rotating a space heater to keep my feet warm for a few minutes and then changing to keep myself or the rest of the room warm, this unit heats up the whole room fast and evenly. I use to set the other heaters fairly close but this unit is 8 – 10 feet away and feels very warm all around.
I plug the unit into a thermostat controlled electrical outlet. It does not have an automatic shut off and no high/low adjustment. The exterior of the unit gets no warmer that a standard space heater. Since it works so well from much further away, I can place it nowhere near anything flammable such as furniture or blankets, I think it’s safer than most space heaters. I don’t know why some suggest it’s not for indoor use. Very pleased with the heavy duty tripod and heater function.

The tripod is very sturdy, and it is a good platform for the heater. I purchased the heater with the tripod mounting to heat a surface in my residence garage at night. It heated very well for 6 nights (about 48 hours, total). It stopped heating in the middle of the 7th night, and it would not switch on. The outlets and breakers were tested and were found to be working. Reported this to the vendor, who was closed due to the Christmas holiday. I await their response.
THE VENDOR RESPONDED TO THE ISSUE PROMPTLY, and the unit was replaced IMMEDIATELY. For this reason my initial 2-tar rating has been replaced with 5-stars.

Really sucks that I have to update this post but this is the reality. So I read a lot of reviews about the On and off switch not working and well mine just stopped working. I opened up the panel to see if I can fix it but I couldn’t. This lamp cost over $100 and it only lasted a couple months, that’s a waste. The company needs to do better. Sucks that it broke right before it starts to get cold. Disappointed in this purchase. Waste of money.

I bought this lamp as a space heater for inside my garage while I’m working out during the winter and it does the trick. I like to use it during cardio too to get that sauna feel.
Read a lot of reviews about having issues with the power switch. I have not had this experience. Great purchase and produces a lot of heat.

First of all this is an infrared heater, meaning it isn’t intended for heating spaces, rather it is for heating objects, such as people. Just saying that if you’re wanting to heat a small room, this isn’t the heater for you. If you’re looking for heat directed at you, whether sitting in a chair or at a workbench, then wow, this thing gets very hot!
So my beef is with the on/off switch. I bought one of these last year (’22) and loved it until the switch failed. After about 40-50 on/off cycles it just simply broke. I replaced it with my own switch (an actual wall switch) and it’s been great ever since.
I liked it so well I purchased another in Oct (’23) and lo and behold, the exact same problem after a few on/off cycles. Replaced it also.
So the pattern suggests that these simply have defective switches. Purchased a year apart, I was hoping not, but the identical failure cropped up.
Great heater for doing what it is supposed to, but chances are good that you will be replacing the switch fairly quickly.
