We use the garage to hang out sometimes, and we got this to prepare for the colder months. This will make it very nice to be out there in a non-insulated space for a few hours at night. It will be safe to use and it won’t cause a fire or anything.

This device is super compact and after you screw in the handle, easy and portable. It gets super hot super fast, so will be perfect for the patio in the winter. Getting the remote open to put in the two AAA batteries is a little bit of a pain, so make sure you have a teeny phillips screwdriver handy. Otherwise, I really like this unit!

Looking forward to using this on our porch and deck in the cooler weather to extend the outdoor season. The fact that it oscillates is huge as some of these heaters blow air out of one side only. It is very strong and well-made and I love the remote. We are very good at putting things together here as a rule so there was no problem. Makes me look forward to the weather change ahead.

Excellent heater for my deck! Sometimes itโs just a little chilly outdoors on the deck but you still want to stay outside. This heater heats fast, has 9 levels of heat and can slowly oscillate to spread the heat evenly. It has a timer to ensure you donโt forget to turn it off. It has a remote to control. I had a really hard time getting the batteries into the remote, it was a very small screw and the lid has a strong spring, and it was very difficult to get it in without the lid springing across the room. Having that small of a screw really wasnโt necessary. And very inconvenient. Other than that little frustration it is fantastic heater.

The package comes with the main heater, remote (batteries not included), fireproof bracket, and a manual. The only assembly needed was to attach the fireproof bracket. The purpose of this bracket is that if the heater tips over, this bracket will prevent the actual coils from touching anything. On the heater, there is a on/off button at the back on the bottom. There is one knob/button at the top. This button performs all the operations (if you don’t want to use the remote). You can turn it to select between the 8 levels of heat indicated by red lights. You can then press the button which will then turn the light green and you can now turn the knob to select between the 8 hour period length (from 1 to 8). If you hold the knob down, it will activate the oscillating feature. All of those feature can also be done via the remote.
When you turn it on for the first time, you will get with off putting odor. This is natural but will eventually go away. According to the manual, it states outdoor use only. But if you use indoor, please be cautious of where the placement.
In terms of actual heat, it does get hot so I like the different levels of heat. Overall, great product.

The patio heater came in a box about 34 1/2″ x 11 1/4″ x 11 3/4″ (87 cm x 28.5 cm x 29.5 cm) with the user manual, remote, fireproof/ timbering bracket & 4 screws. There was a bad smell to the heater when opened that I hope will dissipate over time.
I looked up “timbering bracket” on the internet and nothing came up but I assume it’s to prevent the heater from damage if it was to fall over, and the “fireproof bracket” part is so it doesn’t start a fire if it falls over. There are 4 small Phillips screws that hold the bracket onto the top of the heater. They don’t seem to have threads to go into, so they just drive into the holes.
The diameter of the top of the heater is about 4 3/4″ (12 cm) and the diameter of the base is about 10 1/8″ (25.5 cm). The height of the heater is about 33″ (84 cm). The diameter of the fireproof timbering ring is about 13 1/2″ (34.5 cm) and comes out from the front of the heater about 5 3/4″ (14.5 cm).
The power cord is about 67″ (170 cm) long which I found a bit short for reaching the outlet. The heater and AC plug are safety-certified for use in Canada.
This heater is for outdoor use only and has no thermostat. It should be turned off before unplugging. Don’t use this heater where gas, paints, or other flammable substances are used or stored. Read the manual for other safety warnings.
The user manual is a bit difficult to understand because of the language used. Turn the top knob clockwise for 8 levels of heat or the other way for less heat. The amount of heat will show in red lights on the top of the heater. If you turn it too far, it will just keep spinning but not go any higher. When you get to the bottom where it is off, it will flash all 8 red lights to tell you it is in standby mode. In standby mode, the remote will still work.
Short-press the top knob when the heater is on to change to the timer mode. It can be set from 1 hour to 8 hours and will show on the top as up to 8 green lights.
Long-press the top knob for “shaking head mode” which is oscillation. It rotates less than 180ยฐ from side to side.
The remote requires 2 “AAA” batteries (not included), and a very small Phillips screwdriver to undo the screw. The batteries go in the end of the remote which is unusual, so you need to press the springs in while holding it and screwing the screw back in. This was a bit more difficult than a regular remote where the side just opens up. I’m not sure why this one has to be so complicated.
The remote has 4 buttons: heat level & timer, increase & decrease the setting, and oscillation. The remote has no display so you need to be able to see the top of the heater to know what you’re doing on the remote, unless you’re simply increasing or decreasing the heat, or turning on or off the oscillation.
I find the heater puts out a decent amount of heat, although I’m trying it in the summer, so will know more in a few months. I am not happy with the smell, but I only tried it one day so will know more after using it longer.

We have a fire pit on our deck, but the heat seems to go straight up in the air. I ordered this to provide radiant heat to supplement the fire pit. Although it is still 90 degrees outside, I was able to test all functions of the heater and remote in my dining room. It definitely puts out a lot of heat and the oscillating feature is great to provide heat to a larger area.
The instructions were definitely not the best, but I really didn’t need them to assemble and use the heater.
I found the controls easy to use and the lighted heat level dial to be helpful. I do wish the light would go off after 30 seconds or so, but it’s really no big deal. However, I did find the master on/off switch to be inconveniently positioned at the bottom of the heater near the base. It would have been better to locate it in the middle or top of the tower.
Another small gripe is the screws that are used to attach the heat guard to the heater. They only go in part way until they stop. I finally got them fully set using a phillips head driver with a longer shank and handle.
All in all, I really like this heater and the fact that it is waterproof makes it great for outdoor use. I can’t wait to put it to use this fall.

This infrared patio heater works great. however….
There are some annoyances when trying to get it up and running.
The screws for the spacer on top don’t fit.
The screw for the remote (batteries NOT included at this price) is a different screw driver size than the other screws.
The controls for this heater require that you have access to the back of the heater to turn on and off (toggle switch right at the bottom).
The “rotating knob” for the heat controls is ok, but throws light that you might not want.
The remote works, but since the instructions are so inadequate, you might not know about what the remote controls do. There is a timer, but no instructions or information on that timer.
This is actually super annoying, and I wouldn’t consider it a good value.
